Thanks. While it's not a long list it seems to cover the most widely used ones. I am personally happy about reform units.

I may well use 'Reform Unit'

I thought reform units had been around since 1.13, not new? Or is it being made a screen option?Ballacraine wrote:I may well use 'Reform Unit'

I was under the impression it was to be promoted from a cheat code to a screen option?

I love the new advanced options in 1.20! I have one suggestion - the custom difficulty always starts with default value, whichever difficulty you choose on the basic screen, maybe it should show the values of the currently selected one? It's easier this way, if you just want to tweak some difficulty, or make a one that's "in-between" two others.

+1
Advanced options are great. The sliders are much welcome. It' s much better than editing the dif.pzdat file.
I would appreciate some tooltips or some precise documentation in the manual, on what each option means. I understand most of them, but I'm not sure of what Player experience and AI experience refer to.
"dice " seems enough instead of "dice chess"
The replay, VCR style buttons are also a great addition. Thanks for responding to the community demands.

I strongly disagree, not to mention that it was named dice chess before, this cheat is not new, calling it dice would introduce some confusion as player could think it's more not less random than the default.Delta66 wrote:+1

I can tell that many of these changes are in the IPad version. I only found this thread by following another thread concerning soft caps on prestige. It would be really nice to see all these different mechanics in the IPad version of the game collected in one spot, especially considering all the omissions from the IPad library, like movement costs for different terrain and the combat impacts of terrain on initiative, etc. I suggest a sticky with pictures of the missing library pages and some well thought out explanations of things such as rate of fire in artillery and this variable prestige gain based on the power of your corp.
Sheesh, if I had not played games like this all my life and was not a former attorney, I do not know how I would have found all these different pieces of info. Knew that law degree would be worth something - even after my head injury . . .
I do love the game, but with all this complexity hidden in there, you are getting reviews in wargame sites and magazines describing the game as a paper, scissors, rock game when there is much more to it than that. Having the complexity visible, maybe billed as "for the advanced player," might get this game the respect it deserves without scaring off the casual player.

You're right, even something as crucial as strategic bombing does not display its effects anywhere, unless you press "L"Akopian wrote:I can tell that many of these changes are in the IPad version.
