Seriously though, what argument with Pete? And I'm starting to tire of all the prima donna moments , what with getting upset because someone said they where cheating, or some pointless argument about the shade of yellow butter is. It's a game, so everyone get over themselves. THAT'S AN ORDER!!!!

er dude. i hope you realize the incongruity of playing in a league whose convener brands you a cheat, and for which the burden of proof was not made to be shouldered by him. i only joined loeg for the camaraderie, because i don't like non historical games, and obviously it's lacking. i left quietly without making a fuss so you really should have refrained from taking a swipe.

Please leave the flaming/discussion in the LoEG threads. If Eric actually resigned his game versus Macsen (as opposed to just posting about resigning) then I believe Macsen should be credited with the win but that is Ander's call.

Yes, macsen gets the win.
Not sure what result to record. Probably doesn't matter much...
macsen, if you give us the standings I think it's best to take those numbers.
If Eric was in the lead, perhaps you should get extra points to make it even.
RoTW shouldn't get negative numbers from a win I guess...

I was serious about the 27 casualties, no BP lost on either side, it was only turn 2.

Fogman, one guy called you a cheat, it wasn't me, never thought you were a cheat. But quitting because of the actions of one and still lurking on the threads of the game you don't play!

If you want camaraderie then treat the rest of us with respect, don't just storm off after the actions of one player.

Please desist this discussion. I have privately posted Fogman to try and resolve this issue and will add a public comment in the league if Fogman desires once I have reviewed the matter. No need to drag bad blood into the cup.

Indeed, in fact I think I spend more time in the US than Canada.

CheAhn (Persian) 20/66 v Morbio (Syracusan) 52/52

The Persians took 33 MF and the Syracusians 0 MF. the map had plenty of terrain. Say no more.

Ian and I have started. I fear that my spearmen will become pin cushions :(

Still will do my best for the glory of Athens and the rest of the World. I expect that Athenians though themselves to be the centre of the world? Universe even? 8)

I think you are being kind since most of the real fighting was in open terrain. IMO the biggest factor was my deployment of cavalry and skirmishers in terrain to slow down your advance. I lost far too many units in the withdrawal to my spear line to be able to compete effectively. I chose 0 MF because I could only have 10 and didn't want to get sucked into fighting in terrain against what I knew would be a superior terrain army. I should have just started in the open with all units and waited with skirmishers protecting my spear line, whether you would have come would have been another question. Well played, you were the better general and deserved to win.

I apologise to my team for such poor play on my part

Bad luck Morbio and Stockwellpete. As always, CheAhn and PB were on top form.

It is now up to Maharg and I to salvage a little pride before our team is forced to eat humble pie with the wooden spoon. :(

How the mighty have fallen...

Good luck to the other three teams. It is very tight and still anyones contest!

batesmotel (Athenian) - 38/73
hidde (Syracusan) - 72/63

It seems that undrilled Athenian citizen hoplites are the key to Athenian success at least in this game. Who needs drilled hoplites or high quality cavalry (or what passes for it in Greece). Thanks for the game.

Well, no challenge has been made in either game :?
What do you all think, should we put an end to this and call Companions Cup VI incomplete and void?

How about giving them another 7 days to start - if they don't then adjudicate at that point? If both players are equally to blame then it could either be adjudicated as a draw or as a void game.
