Final Result for Biblical to Renaissance, The Battle of Milvian Bridge 312 AD
Constantine 51% ( 40,700 troops )
Maxentius 60% ( 49,600 troops )
A very long and hard fought battle with the lead changing several times throughout.
As the end drew near and Maxentius was in a winning position, Constantine charged Maxentius hoping to unhorse him and gain victory before his beloved army of veterans were swamped by Maxentius's hordes but was routed on the third charge.
Fortunately Constantine was not killed and his veterans managed to rally some troops and rout a couple of Maxentius's units thus gaining victory.
Maxentius fought very well and made very good use of his cavalry charging the flanks and rears of Constantine's units causing mayhem and forcing Constantine into several death or glory charges at the end. He survived by the Blessings of his new God.........

I can report a fine victory for Constantine, despite his fleeing from the battlefield, as Kiwiwarlord won by around 60-50. I am sure he will post a full account. Well played, Brian! Thanks Gavin for an excellent format and well managed event.
