God, yes. Something, anything to represent a building other than a concrete bunker!

Is that the building that the Axis bombers never actually ever bother to bomb in BoB? :)

So the building is still standing, then. Move it over, please.

Agree. It's bit off topic in this thread, but I also think that some more (destructible) generic decorations really wouldn't hurt... :D

Defiant and City center are taken over, but the bulk of the rest seems to be either present (airplanes), just variation (invasion barge = naval TP) or not fitting for a couple reasons.

The He-59 seems to be in main game (the green one) - is there any use for the white SAR variant in the main game?

I am mentally salivating over the City Center. A unit that can serve as a target building without a) fighting back, or b) requiring a "Massive Ordnance Penetrator" to destroy it!

Someday, perhaps, a building that looks like a warehouse would be nice but this will do for now. The Defiant is a nice addition, too. Thanks in advance.

Aside from it being a) distinctive and beautiful, and b) there for the taking, yes, I can think of "special missions" involving this plane. Maybe unhistorical, but rescue missions come to mind. Even for other factions; the markings on this plane do not necessarily stamp it as German.

Yikes, I can think of something that I am working on right now in which I could use this plane, and it ain't for Germany!

The He-59 is there for the taking. Bring it over, sir.
Bru has already adopted it for Free French use (?)

Well, I would if it were in the official game. For general applicability, we don't do mods in the studio. But there could be a rescue mission off the coast of Gabon . . .

And if I wanted to get silly, perhaps a vignette like this, altering an episode that is already in the FF campaign as a popup between scenarios:

"De Gaulle heads for Chad, flying in an ancient French Potez 540 rather than accepting a British offer of a new aircraft. Engine trouble forces a landing in marshes by Lake Chad. The general and his party spend the night in the aircraft. In the morning, [snip: a rescue party arrives with two small horses. De Gaulle's feet touch the ground. substitute: a rescue plane arrives and lands on the nearby lake. Unfortunately, a flight of Vichy Dewoitine D.520 fighter planes appears in the distance . . . [New objective.]"

But in this case, the story about the small horses and de Gaulle's feet touching the ground is better because it's true. And, of course, Lake Chad is at least 1,250km from Gabon . . . I'd have to work around that. :)

Turns out getting units from BoB into main is somewhat of an endeavour due to the mod's specifics. We'll end up re-implementing the airplanes as quasi-new units for the upcoming beta, which is less problematic, and then see what to do with the city center, as this is a bit different.

Thanks for your efforts, whatever they produce. The rescue plane would be nice but a generic building or two (government center / headquarters / factory / warehouse) would be the best addition, in my opinion.

Crate candidate: 2v2 Race For Tunis 1.3
Quite an interesting scenario if I may toot my own horn.

If I've got too many scenarios in the crate, you can remove Coral Sea.
I think it has been there since the game originally published...

GabeKnight whispered to me that we may see the Zündapp unit as part of the official oob. Welcome it.
There are also a couple of interesting unit types in the BoB-campaign; the British Defiant, the German He59 and the City Center (yes, may come in handy for designers, just ask Bru).
Going to update Market Garden and add Tunis Erik.

Also, thinking to add Bru's River Plate too

Found a few issues in River Plate. Bru, I could add the Raid on Turku instead?

You fan my pride of authorship! :) Let me look at Plate (I see you posted something in my thread) and, if I can address that, perhaps you can decide which one to include. By all means, either one would be fine with me.

Well, as you saw in the Bru's Scenarios thread (thanks for hanging in there through all that), it's not the River Plate scenario, which works fine in 8.3.0; it's how version 8.4.x/8.5.4 is processing the Dialog Popup effect, out of sequence with any popup messages that occur in the same turn.

So here's the deal; if time is of the essence, and if Raid on Turku is working to your satisfaction, go with that. If the fellows can fix the Dialog Popup effect in 8.5.4 in a timely manner, go with River Plate. As I said in the other thread, I must have been hallucinating when I designed that opus but, since it is all working properly, all that storytelling is impressive. [Said impersonally, as one looking at it for the first time in a couple of years.]

Hi Bru,

I'll whack Raid on Turku in there, it's different and interesting, and I'll get that issue with the Event Popups logged and fixed
