Here in NZ round bases are almost the norm with any armies painted since the FoG beta days and a few old ones are getting rebased.

If there is ever any question of a round base trying rort its geometry it is a simple matter to slip an ambush marker under the round base etc.

Thet look good and are easily distinguished from troops they might be with - very useful for accidently counting the general as a fighting base when a unit has taken a losss and he blends right in...
