Seeking some clarification on a couple of things. I moved on my current game 'til around Oct 1807.

First, there is a Fr naval unit in A/dam covering the Channel - this is excellent. The port defences have obviously been strengthened as I found out when I tried to get at that unit. A little later I screened the port with RN units in order to get off an expeditionary force, of which later. The Fr unit attacked one of the screening units without moving from port. My question is, once it has performed an attack in this way, does it lose the protection of the port defences, as it should?

Secondly about supply rules which I am not too sure of. The war has started to go badly for the French. Indecision around Berlin, which I know will be corrected, has led the Russians to split its by now fairly powerful force into two roughly equal parts. One part sweeps thro' Austria to the German States border to cut supply, and then East to confront the Fr., whilst the other moves north against the Fr. around K/berg and the Riga Peninsula which by now is occupied also by the GB force I mentioned earlier. The French concentrate on trying to remove the GB troops and fighting is fierce. They pay no attention to the Russians coming from two directions and are being rolled up easily. To make things worse, Austria revolts - a number of Fr units abandon their fight around Riga, leaving GB in possession and head South straight into the waiting arms of the Russians.

At this point, and back to the question, for the last seven or eight game turns, the French have been cut off from supply - at present, what force they have left is hemmed in by GB and Russia around K/berg and yet they are still in full supply. I wonder how this is possible. Also when surrounded, how do the Fr get replacements for numbers lost in combat?

Incidentally, on the turn that Austria became revolting, Prussia also received a unit in Berlin - is this correct - do all vassal states revolt at the same time?

I'll abandon this game now and wait for the next beta, but I should just say that it has been the best game I've played for years. I have really enjoyed it and I would like to offer a big vote of thanks to Johan for the superb work he has put in for all of us.
