speaking of hoplites, what I meant was that the hoplites were poorly trained in swordsmanship ( compared to romans for exemple ) . Besides ,the SW nits still receive bonuses when in one rank, spearmen does not, even if they use swords in the aftermath :P

Personnaly - and it is my own view - I think SW was given a bit to freely to all LB units ( except LF LB ) , but it is a personnal point of view and the rules must stay the same for everybody .
