I think mirror play offs with the aggregate score determining the winner.....should smooth out any terrain issues.

I wouldn't describe the Dacians as particularly cavalry heavy. Most of their stuff is warband based but with a decent Lancer contingent.

Interestingly, in the current Legions Triumphant tournament match up (a misnomer in this case!) the two games I played were won by the Dacians v the Late Romans though I did push the Dacians to 55% losses before I lost so they are not a bad army to fight.

Having looked at the Dacians again, I agree with you on both of your points.

So I don't really think that there are any cav-dominant armies in the current proposed list, although I'm hardly intimately familiar with all of these armies so might be overlooking one.
