Also, the Swiss Chess draw system means that players who lose in the first round will get easier opponents in the later rounds. Hopefully it is more about enjoying the games, and doing as well as you can, than being on the podium.

That is something of a mystery, but probably GMT, as it actually starts at 10am BST or soon therafter.

You should get an email notification when it starts.

Hopefully this can be increased as it appears to have filled up before I even new it existed!

On a side note, I am sure there are many reasons for the 7 day timeline per round, but would a 9 day time line ever be considered?(giving two full weekends) I always fear joining these as when I play my worthy opponents in AUSTRALIA/NZ, 1 turn/day during the working week is often all can be managed.

Yes, we will probably allow longer rounds for future tournaments.

same here. I think you should expand this tournament to lot more than 32. I bought the game yesterday, and the tournament was already full. This game is better than your previous games, it is on steam, so I recon that there will be much more sales for you guys. heck, I talked my 2 RL friends to buy game the same day, whith more to come (yes we play tabletop wargames alot), and they too will be interested in tournament.

The lists used will be the ones applicable at the following dates.

Round 1: Romans vs Seleucids 190 BC (Pre-Marian legions)
Round 2: Romans vs Dacians 25 BC (Post-Marian legions)
Round 3: Macedonians vs Skythians 260 BC

We've raised the players to 64 and already places are disappearing fast. It will still be a 3 round tournament. We can look at adding more rounds for some tournaments and will likely have a variety of options and have multiple tournaments running simultaneously.

Could the system cope with 128 players or will it blow up?
