In a the case at Oxford (changed a little to make it simpler) I had a BG of bow lined up with a BG of offensive spearmen. I was happily shooting away and about 2.5 MU away from the spearmen. I wanted to move up closer so I would uphill. But a BG of cavalry had moved in at an angle and the bow BG was in their RA but the cavalry were not to the bow's front. The bow could not move directly forward because they have to respond to cavalry.
Effectively my opponent had used some "cheese" (ok I don't think this is cheese just good play, but my cheese definition and other people's cheese definition are probably different as I am a competition player through and through) to prevent me from getting the bowman uphill. No worries, lesson learnt. I won't let it happen again (ok last famous words) and I'll be sure to use it against my opponents where I can.
A FAQ entry would just mean people don't get unfairly surprised by it and have fair warning.
