Thought I'd post a couple more pics of some of the maps I'm planning to use

You'll probably notice that Germany is in every map (minus the Spain map). This obviously isn't necessary but given this is a set of Germany based ETO campaigns, somehow it feels right to design the maps that way. I think by the time the player gets to 1941-42, and the maps become larger, it might be nice to see how far their army has advanced through the theater.

Having said that, I can't imagine modding a timeline spanning hundreds of years like you are doing. How much time are you planning to make each turn? Having played Rome Total War back in the day, I can't help but imagine something similar to that.
It's 6 months to the turn, like in RTW. (661 turns total, but with fewer units than B:E)

Just hope this doesn't slow the game down too much.

So far my tests with the Normandy/Bagration scenario (just about the largest map) have shown that the game is maybe a tiny bit slower, but not nearly as bad as when I tested the original full ETO map. Right now I'm finding that waiting for the relatively high amount of AI units to move/fire generally takes a while but the lag has not been too bad. Still I may try to size down the maps on the edges a bit more.
