no ..still no mouse pointer on Yosemite .. i'm on version 1.4.3 in the bottom right hand corner,..but can't get past the startup screen with the menu no pointer there

Try deleting the configuration file Pandora.xml.
You cabn find this file on:
../Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Proxy Studios/Pandora/Config

i'm not a tech head ..it took me years to get used to my pc..! this is a mac! i don't understand it at all i just use it for recording. this will be the only game that goes on there, other than soviet corps and panzer corps if they are in the future compatible.
i can't even find 'user' file ..or 'library' ..i type in Pandora.xml. in 'search',,..and get no results

i go to 'finder' ..all i can find is 'Pandora - Release-MacOSX...8.58.zip' .. 'Pandora - Release-MacOSX.zip' .. 'Pandora-setupRe..112.exe' ..and 'Pandora-setupRe..9.25.exe'
i click on the red 'pandora' icon , and it expands ..updates to 1.4.3 and i get the startup screen with no mouse pointer!


could you please instruct from this point.... in basic english monkey language for me from this point ..
the only other thing installed on the mac is Logic Pro 10 which is a recording studio .

if not

if i delete and de install the whole game, ..can i reinstall the whole physical copy i've bought? will it automatically get rid of this file when it updates?
it all worked fine on mavericks! i took my buddies' word that 'Yosemite ' was better.. very silly of me..but apple doesn't easily let you revert back. .. it's why i've avoided apple all these years..same ol' poo! but anyway, here we are lol! help! i can't be the only one this is happening to..surely!

I'm sorry but I don't have Yosemite, so I can't provide a step by step guide.
It seems that in Yosemite the User Library folder is hidden. Maybe this can help:

Q. I can't find my User Library? Where is it?
A. Your User Library has not gone and it is in fact in the same place, but now, in Yosemite, it is invisible. To get to it just go to the Finder > (while holding the "alt" key down) the Go menu and select "Library" from the menu. You can now very easily make it visible again with Yosemite - just go to the Go menu > Home and then select "Show View Options" from the 'View' menu > TICK "Show Library Folder".

done all that with the help of a buddy on the phone,..still got no mouse pointer .. there was another file almost identicle next to it..do i delete that one too?

What's the name of the file?
Anyway you can delete it,as each time you start the game should recreate the files needed.

it's called pandora server. xml ..it also wants my registration key EVERY time ! so annoying when i haven't got a mouse pointer to find where to put it but anyhow,..that fix definitely doesn't work with yosemite.. i've also done the 'read me' .. "anywhere" setting .. hurrah for 'force quit' (command and Q) .. i'm giving up now ..i've been trying all sorts of things for many hours .. please sort it ..

ps..i put xml file into trash and deleted it, and file has not come back on restarting the game

Sorry for the mixup, due to a library dependency only the Steam version was properly fixed. I've updated the standalone version again. Please give it a try and let us know if you are still having issues.

yes! fantastic! thanks ..next time, i have learned to let everyone else update their macs to whatever 'improved' system first.. then see what the response is ! cr apple ! haha! thanks sephirock and co ..good to see the slitherine customer care has not done what most of the big game companies have done, which is switch off. it's why i bought pandora over sid meirs.. just a personal thing,..but customer care is a priority to me, and gameplay/multiplayer of course.
