Re: FGH'40 Tournament
Hi all,
There are now 12 players signed up + 2 reserves (LM and I). You will be divided into 4 groups with 3 players. The winner in each group will play a semi-final.
Later today I will publish which 2 maps will be play in the group play and which will be played in the semi and the final.

Maps for group play, semi-finals and final have now been decided. You have randomly been sorted into four groups. Read more here: viewtopic.php?f=115&t=49729&p=468520#p468520
Feel free to begin playing

Good luck, and remember to have fun!

Re: FGH'40 Tournament
I know some of you think some of the maps favour one side more than the other. I'm aware of this, but as testing to balance maps takes a lot of time, the tournament uses mirror games instead. This way both players get to play both sides. You should then look at the result from both these games. In some cases there will be a total of 4-4 flags. But it is important to also record the total number unit losses, these will be the decider in the game. So while taking flags you should also try to kill as many enemy units as possible and at the same time minimise your losses. This in an attempt to simulate that war isn't about capturing flags, but damaging your enemy more than he damaging you...

I accepted 2 games - not sure I was supposed to?morge4 wrote:Two games posted for JCB and Collier...password 'morge'
Re: FGH'40 Tournament
We're supposed to each play 4 games against every opponent in the group, 2 on each map, 1 as German and 1 as Allies. So if you picked up 2 games in which you're playing the same side on the same map, then you should probably dump one. Otherwise you should be good.collier4 wrote:I accepted 2 games - not sure I was supposed to?morge4 wrote:Two games posted for JCB and Collier...password 'morge'

I think the best way to describe our operations to date is that they have violated every recognized principle of war.
