Doesn't say what sort of meat. As a "hoof Meister", maybe you should recognise one of your knackered old nags!urbanbunny1 wrote:Honesty bar,

Right letters, just the wrong order!urbanbunny1 wrote:Hey don,
Could you fix my surname please. It's LeRay-Meyer.
Cheers
Can you get mine right then - it's Don not don!

Re: Campaign 2014
Well another great weekend of FoGR gaming!! After a total of 45 hard fought games, The Escape Committee (Tim Porter, Dave Allen and Simon LeRay-Meyer) have come away with the winners prize after a fantastic last round notching up an impressive 55pts to leapfrog MKWS (Don Avis, Richard Bodley-Scott and Jim Gibson), who having led the competition from Round 1 had to settle for the runners-up spot!
Congratulations too to the 3 Period winners, Tim Porter in period 1 (proving that the Dutch, despite wasting 30pts on a ship which didn't appear 4 times out of 5, were viable!
); Jim Gibson in period 2 with a steam roller Later Austrian Imperial - a bit like Jim really but with more class!
) and of course a magnificent win in Period 3 by ME, having taken a Malay army which was all average, unarmoured foot, no cavalry and 2 nellies, to face off a never-ending wall of armoured Rajput lancers in the open backed up by lots of guns (not forgetting Dave "every base has a bow" Allen's Amazonian Forest Tribes monster
)!!!
The full results are below

On a personal front, I had 5 great games memorable for lots of different reasons, Steve's appalling shooting dice in game 1; Bob, with no other targets for his artillery, shooting at my guns and throwing 3 double 6's in a row until on the 3rd go I rolled the dreaded 1; Chris's charge with his lancers uphill into defended guns and his being amazed with my very mobile GC who leapt from BG to BG recovering their disorder; Dave's "wall of bow" and lastly Kevin's Mughal army which I spent many moves trying to outmanoeuvre and ending up with a 10-10 draw. - thank you all.
Roll Call next for me on 21st/22nd June in Cranfield - I hope to see as many of you there as possible

Re: Campaign 2014
Thanks to all my opponents for great games and putting up with my language when the dice gods left me.
I tried my hardest to get Forlorn Hope into last place and save Burton the honour but Ben kept scoring enough points to stop me!!!

Re: Campaign 2014
I presume that the Dave Parrish in Pool 2 is the same Dave Parish of Brighton / Reigate that I have in the rankings.

Re: Campaign 2014
Yes if you see any combination of Dave or David plus Parish or Parrish plus Brighton or Reigate in a FOG:R comp then it is the same person (me!)...... my preferred version is Dave Parish of Reigate (just because my other club, Brighton, don't go to comps)quackstheking wrote:Yes - the one and the same!

PS I'm not sure that I want to claim the Campaign results though - just give them to that loser David Parrish of Brighton!!!
