Well spotted RRT. The PDOM does often test players awareness and factors it into future draws as an indicator of likley player performance. I can see you risng even further in the PDOMs estimations as a result of your eagle eye!

in the spirit of not nit picking... aren't you meant to be at work Robert?.... but I agree re the 19-6 16-9 etc
note to hunter.. I can grind my opponents to dust without actually beating them!
top three predictions
1. john munroe
2. alan cutner
3. Malcolm Gordon
I foresee a long weekend of bitter disappointment ahead for Robert..... a shock first round defeat then a victory followed by defeat and then a draw....

Paul - my predictions have you firmly in the top three. With Uzbek national dress (whatever that is) to stun opponents at the start of your games.

The rankings would suggest its all about the Fantastic Four - Paul, Rob, Alan, John. As there are only three steps on the imaginary podium it seems likley that one of them will fall below the wargaming salt.AlanCutner wrote:Paul - my predictions have you firmly in the top three. Experience, however, compels onlookers to factor George D and Graeme C into the equation somewhere whilst Mike Kemp has hit a fine seam of form this year and Mr Guy Hunter can always be guaranteed to furnish a surprise or two.
Perhaps exotic apparel will give that extra edge .... perhaps not.

Hello Fellahs
All is good for this Saturday. Meet at 0830 for breakfast at Luncarty Juniors Football Club, Luncarty on the A9 North of Perth (usual venue).
Here’s the draw - in no particular order - for round one;
Hunter Rob Youch or Yawn ……..
John C Graeme Elephants vs horses ….. eeeck
Neil Mal Brace yersel Sheila …………. Immmmmmmpaaaaaaaact!
John M George The battle of “Jelly on a Plate”
Mike Guy Another bloodbath ……..
Paul Rob P Clash of Cultures – no not Scots/Ottomans… I mean Uzbeck and Harburn!
Alan Mark Yoicks …. Hope those bowmen have got their eye in Mark!
Games start at 0900.
There will be no team match ups on day one then a bloody free for all on day two!
Games will be 3 hours 30 minutes plus 1 to 15 minutes.
Players are reminded that fair play dictates that details of any ambushes and/or flank marches must be written out and exchanged (folded over off course) with your opponent before deployment. Paper and pens will be available at the basho for this so there is no excuse. It is permissible to exchange a blank note or Mondays shopping list off course!
Good luck to you all!

Re: Scottish Open 29-30 November 2014, Perth, Scotland
PJ has only gone and done it again! The worlds nicest "for fun" player has scooped the honours at this years Scottish Open and returns south of the wall with another first place and with the "Old Glory Geezer" trophy firmly in his mits.
Rob Taylor and John Munro ran him a good race in second and third respectively and an honourable mention must go to Mr Guy Hunter with a very creditable fourth place just one point away from a well deserved place on the podium. I think we can expect Guy to be up on a podium somewhere near us in 2015!
Thanks to all the competitors for good clean games and to our friends from Engerland and up North for making the trip.
All the best for the festives from the Spotted One.
