Re: Rise of Rome themed tournament - recruitment
I'm in, any chance of making it 450pts for a bit of a change.
A 450pt map is 30 hexes wide (400pt also). Whereas a 500pt map is 40 hexes wide
Thanks for organising this as well

That is exactly right, Rex. I also really enjoyed Turk's Fire in the West tournament this past summer. You can customize your army before every battle and there are no restrictions on terrain.rexhurley wrote:Pick from the same list but tweeked to your own preferences mate it looks like Jonathan is basing the format on what we did with EE in the Digital league this time roundMatteoPasi wrote:A question:
"paired games" means that we have to play 2 match switching armies ..... list can be different or I'm supposed to take the same troops selection of my adversary ? anda what about terrain ?
Thanks

I did consider 450pts but prefer the greater space for maneuver at 500pts. It's good to know I wasn't considering something crazy so maybe for next tournament. Thanks for joiningericdoman1 wrote:I'm in, any chance of making it 450pts for a bit of a change.

There is a spot for you, yes. You are our 23rd entrant. Assuming all who were interested are still in, we only have one spot left.ricoual74 wrote:I would like to be in. Tell me if some spot is left.

I don't mind dropping out if a new (tournament/competition) player wishes to take part and or to be a reserve

Re: Rise of Rome themed tournament - recruitment
Thanks but not to worry. My initial invitations included any players placed on reserve for Digital league. I was also hoping to get a diverse skill level among players and wish to start as soon as possible.ericdoman1 wrote:Jon

I think Eric should be made to wear a bag over his head during his matches so the rest of us stand a chance.

Pete
Only pantherboy and mschund has beaten me more times than you have. I think in our last 10 games I have won 4 and lost 6.
Jon - again if you do get more players then I do not mind dropping out and I have jumped the gun a little as I didn't receive an invite.

Well someone has to beat Eric out so I'll be sure to fix it so you two face each other before I have to face Eric
Everyone who's expressed interest is accepted, no worries. The initial invitations were to people I knew had finished most of their games and may be interested. I was really surprised by how correct I was in guessing who'd be interested. We're just waiting on 1 more player to enter and then we can do the army draw

Re: Rise of Rome themed tournament - recruitment
With Greetings44's entrance, we are at full capacity. I will put together pools, do an army draw tomorrow and post final rules and regulations. We will begin early, some time this weekend to get a head start on the 8-week limit for the pool stage.

Re: Rise of Rome themed tournament - recruitment
Eric has dropped to reserve due to some other commitments so we have ONE SPOT LEFT. We'll still be starting this weekend! I've sent out a few PMs to find our 24th player today.
