Re: [Design Mod Project] PAZIFIK KORPS - Release
I will also post this on DMP site, If I can figure out how. I am experiencing alot of crashes with this new mod. All the others from DMP work great, but the Pacifik mod locks up or crashes every couple of turns.
I am running windows 7.

If you look on DMP, they recommend that you use a 4gb Patch and to start the application with /nocache at the end of the shortcut target.

Thanks for the reply. A 4gb patch? Wow, guess I better head over there a check it out. Thank goodness for Google translate.

Re: [Design Mod Project] PAZIFIK KORPS - Release
Just to explain, the 4gb Patch is an executablethat patches x86 executables in order to let them have 4GB (instead of only 2) of virtual memory on x64 platforms. This tool comes very handy for applications which need a great amount of virtual memory. So once you have copied the required Panzer Corps files over to the Pacific Corps folders (per their instructions), you execute the 4gb Patch. It will request what executable to patch. You will select the Panzer corps exe in the pacific corps folder and the patch will update it. It does make a backup of the executable first.
In addition, it was recommended to include /nocache at the end of the target line of your shortcut. For instance, mine has "C:\Program Files (x86)\Slitherine\Panzer Corps DMP Pazifik Korps Add On v.1.00\PanzerCorps.exe" /nocache

Okie, Thanks again. That all makes sense, and should be simple enough for even me to do.

Pazifik Korps
To anyone who cares, I applied the nocache and the 4GB patch (which is 44mb, and self installs). I also disabled the opening video by renaming it, and was able to play through several battles with no crashes.
I lost the third battle in the campaign however. I wasn`t aware that ships could capture and hold hexes?
Is that a DMP thing or how Panzer Corps works as well?
Buy some ships if you play, they never gave me any, You Have Been Warned!

Once Pazific Korps is installed, the patch and installation instructions are located in the DMP Manual folder under the installed directory. It can also be found in the DMP forum or you can google 4gb Patch and you should be able to find from NTCORE.

Wow, this is an amazing looking mod - absolutely beautiful design on the units - love the colors, attention to detail and overall diversity of the factions. Simply stunning, great job!
Re: [Design Mod Project] PAZIFIK KORPS - Release

Re: [Design Mod Project] PAZIFIK KORPS - Release
Yeah, I agree on the upload, spent over hour last night trying to figure out how to download it from that site, it's rough to navigate and figure out. This mod looks incredible and would be downloaded in masse on here.
Re: [Design Mod Project] PAZIFIK KORPS - Release
it makes no sense to create these interesting looking scenarios and campaigns if It is impossible for MOST people to download them. someone be kind and make a link or something so we can access them..thank you

Re: [Design Mod Project] PAZIFIK KORPS - Release
Well, I could download it. sfter some attempts and some help from the very helpful people of that community. If is not forbidden by its authors, I can provide everyone here with a link to senspace, for example... Anyone can tell me if there is any problem with that?

Re: [Design Mod Project] PAZIFIK KORPS - Release
guille1434, not sure what senspace is, though it has to be better than trying to download it from its current page. Please make sure to get the 2.0 version and any other necessary files. Thank you for offering to do this, awesome!
Re: [Design Mod Project] PAZIFIK KORPS - Release
thanks for your help....look forward to downloading and playing it..

The size of that mod is 1.3 Gb. I guess it is not so easy to find a free webspace host somewhere for such a huge file...

Re: [Design Mod Project] PAZIFIK KORPS - Release
Ok, as a prudential period of time passed and no one went against the uploading of this mod file, here is the stuff...
As the mod was one big file (1.3 Gb) I had to make some surgery on it in order to be able to use a free file uploading site, which usually allow for much smaller files only. I think sendspace (the site chosen) allows for 300 Mb files at maximum.
So, here is the link to download the first part of the file (in total, there are six parts in total)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/2wngq9
NOTE: After downloading the file, you have to change its present extension (.rar) for .exe (you have to change ONLY the first file extension, the following ones remain with its .rar extension)
After you download the six files you have to copy all of them in the same folder and then you doublé click in the first file (the one with the "exe" extension.
I hope the explanetion was clear to all...
Your welcome!! And have fun!
