Sheesh you guys couldn't have done this before I just started a new DLC campaign and played into 44! It looks like an almost completely new game.

True...... I cringe to think how many hours of my life this game has used up.KeldorKatarn wrote:As if you needed any excuse to play it again

Re: Panzer Corps v1.20 update
For me it's rather how many hours it is going to use up lol. I am still on my first GC playthrough, I haven't done the AK losing path yet, I haven't tried the british path in GC40 yet or the HG Süd path vs the HG NOth(Leningrad) path in GC41 etc etc... let alone Allied Corps... hehe
But for years after the PG series faded I wished someone should redo it and I was even close to try and do it myself actually when I found the announcement of PzC back then and I went like "oh boy oh boy oh boy" and since it was released I am always looking forward to playing this game. Often I overdo it a little (when you dream about turns and unit moves, you know you've been playing too much hehe) and need a break but I always come back to this because I so enjoy the gameplay and so enjoy finally having new content to try out and to find strategies for and to build a good core...
it's just one of those very rare games that I definitiely put into my personal Hall of Fame

Re: Panzer Corps v1.20 update
o Overstrength is lost after upgrade
Does this only affect certain unit types?
Just got to Sidi Barrani - upgraded infantry (Inf > Engineer) and lost overstrength, but upgraded tanks and arty (Cruiser Mk1 > Cruiser Mk4, QF 25 Pdr > BL 6 inch 26 CWT) and didn't lose any points.
It makes sense for the tanks if its only upgrades outside your path but not for the arty.

Why no 43 Australian Infantry????????
Re: Panzer Corps v1.20 update
I'm not 100% sure, but I remember that the overstrength won't be lost if you upgrade a unit within the same unit family. All towed 'tube' artillery are in the same family, so upgrading between them won't reset the overstrength.CrimsonStorm wrote:o Overstrength is lost after upgrade

Another example, I hope this makes it clearer: if you upgrade a Hurricane to a Spitfire, the overstrength will be reset. This won't happen when upgrading Spitfires to other Spitfire models.
Re: Panzer Corps v1.20 update
Hi there, installing v1.20 update changed Panzer Corps to look all the way like Allied Corps. Personally, I don't like these looks for playing the Axis side in the original PC, AC or DLCs. Is there a way to re-do these changes and get the old looks back again? Cheers, mperor
Re: Panzer Corps v1.20 update
If you select one of the original PC campaigns or the Afrika Corps campaign the UI automatically switch to the german version. It sadly doesn't work for the DLC at the moment but its easy to circumvent: Just select one of the german non DLC campaigns first so the UI change (no need to start them just select them briefly in the menu) and then start the DLC you wish to play.mperor wrote:Hi there, installing v1.20 update changed Panzer Corps to look all the way like Allied Corps. Another question:
if I turn on the "use the 1.14 rules" than ALL 1.14 rules will be used or only a part of them (like the new xp growing system would be still active)? It is important to know because of scenario balance.

Re: Panzer Corps v1.20 update
I haven't tested this ingame but when I compare the gamerules.pzdat and the gamerules114.pzdat then I see that all the new options are turned "off".
Specifically in gamerules114.pzdat has the following entries which differ from the gamerules.pzdat

Re: Panzer Corps v1.20 update
Hello
I changed the "PrestigeForSurrender" to 100. Now, if a enemy tank with 10 strength (3 points taken due to the attack / the tank is worth 277) surrenders, I gain about 1500 prestige ? Another tank with 8 strength (2 points taken due to the attack/ the tank is worth 192) surrenders - I get ~105 prestige.

Re: Panzer Corps v1.20 update
Hello,
Could I ask for a detailed explanation of some of the new features of the 1.20 ruleset? Specifically:
1) What does "Prestige soft cap" mean?
2) What are the "Class-specific experience effects" for each class so affected?
3) How much prestige do you get for forcing a surrender? (A fixed amount or does it depend on how many Str steps that surrendered and/or the cost of the surrendering unit)
4) "Initiative heroes are limited to +1 bonus" Do you mean each hero or in total per unit? (Do you mean the total hero bonus to a given unit's initiative is now capped at +3 - if all three heroes happen to be initiative heroes)?
Apologies in advance if this information is already covered somewhere - I really tried to search the forums before asking, but a phrase like "Class-specific experience effects" yielded no results and the forum search does not allow me to search for "1.20" ("too simple" words). Thank you.
