As an example of a "made up" fortification Anti Tank Gun emplacement, here is the icon and the mask for one I was very pleased with the way it turned out. The stripped down PaK43 L71 88mm was a version the Germans mass produced in the late war as gun emplacements as the Western Allies approached Germany. They were guns that were meant for Tiger II tanks, but the tanks could not be produced due to bombing so the guns were mounted on "tripods" and put into built emplacements as fixed Anti Tank guns. Same as meeting a King Tiger without wheels.

Oh my! This week just decided to take a shot at "my" own IS-3... Here is the result (and the base image I used to work the icon)... But the IS-4 is a good bonus... AND the the 8,8 cm Pak AT Gun emplacement is a real gem, for its originality... Thank you Flak!!! A thousand thumbs up!!

PS: the IS-3 pack, including base icon and mask for DCS, and various camo schemes, will be uploaded in the Multipurpose units thread...

Hey!!! I have just read the first page in this thread! Thanks guys (Cammel and Flak) for providing info on my "most wanted" 12.8 cm PAK. Flak, those icons are wonderful! I am very pleased for your very prompt answer!

Here I upload one icon of the FlakPz E-50 (I think that it is more like a 5,5 cm Flakzwilling, because of the turret size & barrel lenght). I hope you like it. I will upload the complete pack (with DCS base Icon and mask, plus the usual various camo variants) in "my" thread, tomorrow. Here, in Argentina, is 3 am and I need to rest!

Please, feel free to ask for help, I will be very glad to be able to help you with your absolutely awesome work!!

Thanks for the great icon of the Flak Panzer Guille......Glad you like the Soviet stuff and other other icons. I also have icons of the E100 Flak 8.8cm in AA and AT. Will do the masks tomorrow and post them.

Flak: I just uploaded the complete FlakPz E-50 pack in the mutipurpose units thread, you will find several camo schemes, and the base icon and mask for use with the DCS software.

Guille1434...............I always appreciate your work and your input. Your icons are more like those in the game and I am not talented enough to make such icons..........

That being said, I will gladly provide the artwork, 3d models or pictures I used to make my icons if you wish as you seem to be able to make a silk purse out of a sow pig's ear.

Flak: Thanks for your nice words about my "work"... Yes, I like to make "stock game" looking icons, and this is good to me, but it is good good also to have available an "Icon creator" like you, to complement an "Icon modificator" like me! (And most times, the reverse is true, my work can complement yours). My purpose is to be able to help modders here, adding my effort to any good work in progress (specifically in the icon aspect of the game), and to try to avoid work duplication...
Keep the good work, be free to create and upload whatever you like, and don't forget to ask anything you may like to speed up or complement your work. I will ask you for assistence with graphic stuff, pictures etc, when I need...

In the meantime, I took your T-44, and retouched it a little, making the base icon and mask for Dcs, maybe you find it useful... I intend to make a unit pack with different camo schemes and upload it in "my" thread, with your permission, and giving due credits, of course. I took this unit because the T-44 was in my "to do" list since a long time ago, and you covered that one!
Feedback, before releasing the unit pack, is always welcome!

Really nice job Guille1434. Glad you did that as I did not try to make an icon to mask, thanks to you we now have one. I have lots and lots of original artwork, 3D models, pictures, etc. And as I said, I will be happy to provide them to you as your icons are likely to get into the stock game while mine NEVER will.

To: Guille1434 and Niki...................reading Niki's post in the LOV thread about late war scenarios and being tougher to do, I will release my Paper Panzer pack in a couple of days even though I have not made stats for them. Actually probably someone else like Niki, Bebro or Deducter is better qualified to do them anyway. They are done from some rather outstanding 3D models graciously shared with all of us by a man named KWong of China. I not only have a number of Paper Panzers, but also others he did. This will allow Guille1434 to restyle or retouch them in the manner he does so well that will fit accordingly to the vanilla unit designs. If he chooses to do this with the Paper Panzers, he certainly can use the icons I made OR he can let me know and I will provide the actual 3D renderings made by Mr. Wong. Additionally for anyone who finds the icons and masks I make to be acceptable to use, they can certainly use my versions in the game as well. I give them freely to be used as is, copied, altered, modified or whatever. There is no copyright on them whatsoever and no ego hanging on "who made them".

Well said, Flak, I say the same for all my work, thay are freely given to anyone who wants to use them in game or to modify... I think I will use your icons, that are excellent, becoause I have no experience in using 3D programs to work with renderings, besides having your icons also, gives the community more options about what icons are to be used in their own customized games...

Here is an example Paper Panzer 3D picture by Mr. Wong along with my icon and mask. You guys on the forum let Guille and I hear from you. What Panzer Commander "would NOT" want to take on all comers in a Tiger III as designed? Like I said, better design, better suspension, better drive train, more HP, more armor, faster and quicker on the ground PLUS more firepower.
