Yes. The installer is an upgrade and requires the CEaW base game.guronsan wrote:after install, when I try to launch the game, nothing is appear... perhaps a very fast dos-windows.

I mean that on first attempt to install the mod was installed to the wrong location. I had to change the location the mod was installing to to make it work. Not a big deal but some users may not know how.

Re: GS v2.10 Installer -- Need Help Checking Out
I just tried the installer on a clean install of MH CEaW Gold 1.12 on a German Win7 machine. There is a bug regarding the target directory:
The installer initially chooses the correct target directory (in my case "C:\Program Files (x86)\Slitherine\Military History Commander - Europe at War GOLD"), but when I accept this value and continue the installation, the installer changes the target directory to "C:\Slitherine\Military History Commander - Europe at War GOLD" for the actual installation. It announces this new, wrong target folder already in the final "Ready to Install" message window, where you can't change it anymore.
However, when I choose to browse for the target directory and manually select the (correct) default folder (again, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Slitherine\Military History Commander - Europe at War GOLD"), the installer then uses this correct value and the install goes without a glitch and GS2.10 is starting up as it should.
As a side note, when I had to uninstall the first installation, it ended with the error message "On Post Uninstall, line 176: Argument 2 must be of type string. Stack Traceback: 1: [On Post Uninstall] line: 176 in main chunk." However, it then displayed a message window telling me the uninstall was successful (which it was, as far as I can tell).
EDIT: I thought that part of the problem could be the target directory of "Program Files (x86)", because it's Win7 64-bit. So repeated the procedure on an English 32-bit WinXP. Same results: CEaW gets installed in "C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Military History Commander - Europe at War GOLD", GS2.1 installer initially chooses that as destination, but then switches to "C:\Slitherine\Military History Commander - Europe at War GOLD". Browsing for "C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Military History Commander - Europe at War GOLD" works. HTH.

This seems to indicate that the GS update is installing to the wrong directory. Can you confirm and post to which directories both the update and your base game are installed to?guronsan wrote:I try again to install 2.1 in the CEAW directory.
