The G is great vs tanks but by 44 and 45 most of the ones you face have AA capability so they become a prestige sink just to use. Throw in the need to escort them often with two or more fighters and they just seem to be a poor choice later in the war.

Dream on....take a look at that statistics for both. The Stuka 87G is great on armor, but that's about it. It has no air attack, little air defense, has to be escorted everywhere, less than half the fuel of the ME-410. I would seriously have hated to have been a Stuka pilot in the German luftwaffe from 1943 on. The life expectancy of a Stuka 87 pilot in 1943-1945 was pretty terrible.
