If you made this, I congratulate you! It's a really professional cut material with good chosen music for it.
Still, I wouldn't use it as intro for PC: it is like a "trailer" of World War 2 (from German viewpoint). It dramatically shows the effects of the war - the brutality, the terror, the deaths...all of the insanity, what mankind created for himself.
But I play PC not because of that, but because it is a brain-using challenge, like chess.

I have the intro of Afrika Korp's add-on from DMP. It shows also historical material but without the terror and the funny music creates a balance. I let it played so many times, when I started PC, that I even cannot count.

Still a very professional and viewable film, thanks for making it!

Hi, All. I’ve uploaded a new intro for Panzer Corps. I think this video captures the chaos and tension of war much better than the original one. It shows some nifty footage of various Wehrmacht units, Infantry, Fallschirmjager, Panzers, Anti-Tank Guns, Fighter Aircraft, Paradrops, naval warfare, etc.

Just drag the file into your “Panzer Corp/Video” folder. Back-up your original video if you want to keep it. I’ve already renamed the file as “intro.wmv” so its just a drag-and-drop operation. Runtime is 7mins and 3 secs. The video was converted from this youtube link “German Combat Footage – WW2” by Shad0wack:

Thanks, Uhu, but I didn't make this. Shad0wack had posted the video on youtube and all I did was convert it to "wmv" so that I use it. It is long but I thought some gamers might like it as an alternative. I'm thinking now of converting the music, Hans Zimmer's "Do you think I'm a Saxon" to mp3 so that I can use it as Panzer Corps ingame music.

Funny you mention that, Jaggy, because I went ahead and bought the soundtrack and play it through WMV with ingame music turned off. It goes good with it, but there are a couple tracks I removed from the playlist. The song you mention, Saxon, sounds like something Caesar's Legions would play as they marched into battle. The first minute-forty never gets old.

I also have the PG2 German/Russian soundtack, and the Panzer Corps soundtrack in the playlist, as well as a couple Führer speeches. Movie soundtracks are the way to go - there's plenty awesome music in that genre, and without lyrics it takes a hell of a lot longer to get old. Good music makes good gameplay experience.

I've just googled PG 2 German/Russian soundtrack and the music is excellent. I'll add these in into the Panzer Corps ingame music files when I'm finished with work. Thanks.
