Of course, I didn't mean the later years. I meant a branching point in the main campaign that will let you move your core into Afrika Korps or say, import your 1940 core into Afrika Korps. This would have the advantage of letting your core get unique Afrika heroes that it wouldn't normally be able to get. :)

There's no official word on that. So they might be considering... It seems that AK might have a different AI, so the possibility of connecting DLC with AK might not be so linear as we might think.

BTW, from the feature list - "10 new AK heroes" - does this mean more pics and names of heroes, or will there be 10 new types of heroes enhancing unit abilities? I assume the former, but not sure...

I assumed the latter, honestly. There wouldn't be be much point of listing it as a bullet point if it was just ten new pics and ten new German-sounding names.

What should be fixed in the expansion, is the heroes assignation. Like for example spotting heroes on the arty units :)

Maybe a resupply hero? I recall getting stuck in the desert with no fuel in PG. That would be worth having if the terrain effects are similar.

Very nice preview. :P

There is a new Flag, means that the DAK comes as a new Nation?

Actually I think that would make an awesome DLC. The River Plate, the hunt for the Bismarck, U-Boat action, PQ-17, the Channel Dash, a speculative scenario with the Graf Zeppelin ... :P
An Atlantic Corps? :)
I'm of a mind that campaigns in the Med (Malta, Corsica, Sicily, (Turkey?)) would\should be an intergral portion of PC\AK, as well as re-supply attempts at Tobruk. . .

Supply would have to be way different, IMO. By ship or overland through Palistine? Supply points in a hex that diminish through use\time (that can be captured to good effect for the capturing side) and also can be destroyed by stealthy units or be diminished by air bombardment if discovered. . .

Man, do I hate deserts in life and in games.

They're hot and sandy and at night you freeze your 4th point of contact off......

You've also got all kinda of fauna and insects that like your body heat at night and make themselves at home on you and in your stuff

I really,really hate deserts
....that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain.......and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.

Slitherine says there are 20 scenarios for the expansion Afrika Korps. Will Afrika Korps have its own GCs/DLCs?

I can't wait to play this. I hope it's still Q2, so this would be soon. On Amazon as well, like the main game?

Meanwhile, let's ID units shown on the screenies, just for fun...

Of the ca. 20plus new announced, I spot

Brummbär
Panzerwerfer 42
Sahariano recon?
New Ita SP gun?
Me323
Hs129
Rolls Royce Armoured Car
Vickers Mk. IV light tank
Bishop SPArt
LRDG Chevy

That would make 10. And I sooo could need some of those for my custom campaign(s) :)

Actually I think it's set to be released in July.
A year after Panzer Corps. It would be a good commemoration. :)

Yay!

Except it almost looks like a B-3 version with the 7.5cm gun which wasn't available until 1944.

Hopefully they provide a B-2 version for AK and make the B-3 available later. Also hopefully, where appropriate, the new German units will have standard grey cammo sprites available for use in the eastern DLCs?

I asked that one on another thread somewhere. Apparently the units will swap in and out of the appropriate camo according to their location (Europe/NA), which will be great for a whole-war campaign.

I hope we can import from the early DLCs. I would love to be able to take my 1940 core to North Africa! I am even more anxiously awaiting Allied Corps, I am hoping we will be able to play as either the British or Americans and that with either we are able to have Commonwealth units as part of the core!

Cheers

I would look forward to allied corps if there was a total revamping of AI, and a corresponding decrease on the premium of long-lasting core units. I'll have a few pet units, like Creighton Abrams, but most of my allied corps will be screening cannon fodder, like in real life

Will there be a "Montgomery" difficulty level?
