this is not etiquette in forum, post name of players for flame. Neither total war forum permit this. This is childish. It's not forbidden resign and this is flame on customers of slitherine products. However resign means gives victory to player. I think that threads like this must be banned by moderators ( many forums of games do this )

Your behaviour is so unprecedented in my experience that it is worth remarking upon. No-one likes their time wasted, especially when done with so little grace.

Password protected games are the best way to play. Find several opponents you like to play and just stick with them. If you want to get new opponents engage the player in some PMs first and discuss the game before you play. Once you have gotten the idea that they are going to stick with the game then set it up in the MP forum and go on from there.

But keep a list of folks that are good to play and that seems to work best.

this not justify your flame, i never insulted you in game, simply i admitted defeat and given you victory because victory was for you, your feeling is childish ( wast time ? u can start other games how you want ), play & fun with others, i not play with you anymore because you go in flame for a game and insult ppl outside game like a child.

Member's names should not be posted on the forum. Just contact Admin and let them take care of it if YOU think the person is abusing the system. Leave it there and just do not play the person.

There is no need to agitate someone and get them to flame you on this forum. Just ignore them if you do not like how they do things. That works best for ALL concerned.

I have not posted a member's name. There are no rules against posting a member's username so do not suggest that I have done anything wrong, Old_Warrior.

How a player can admit defeat in a hoplite v hoplite battle with no significant fighting having yet taken place I do not understand. If Archita had resigned from the game because his battle was being irretrievably lost, if he was a new player or if he had indicated that he wanted to concede the game I would not have been so offended. But he is not a new player and has actively participated in the FoG online community. He should therefore recognise that he should afford his fellow players a modicum of respect.

This is the first incident of this kind I have experienced in many hundreds of games so I believe it to be an isolated case.

No its not a rule but it should be avoided as it just pisses people off. I am out of this one having said all I think needs to be said as there are two to three "camps" here.

1. Fight until the finish even though its obvious your opponent is beaten (and prob. is not enjoying the game).

2. Allow resignations.

3. Somewhere in between.

There is a difference between resigning from a game and abandoning a game without comment. As I have said, I have experienced people exiting a game without comment before, but only when the result of a battle is clearly decided. I don't approve of this but I can understand it as there are people out there who are, to put it plainly, bad losers. I don't understand, however, someone walking from a game when a few moves have been played and nothing at all determined - this is simply wasting someone's time.

That is no longer the case here. The case is is that you NAMED a member. Not a good thing to do. You still do not seem to understand that and frankly its sad.

you are posted my name in a way with flame intention "Therefore, I'd advise anybody playing someone with a username that is an anagram of 'achrita' to be wary" that it's not polite.

otherway i not know you and i not understood the great insult of resign, with resign i accepted defeat because i have seen that game was lost. I't's different concede defeat and not give turn to player to not give gim victory. There are no reasons to get bad feeling for a game and post gripes in forum for lack of respect.

i wasnt playing in tournaments too, rules on resign aren't valid in no tournaments games and game permit resign to alls good or bad players, polite or impolite. The most good way it's not play with this person but never insult a gamer in public. I'm experienced in total war games for example. Moderators of TW forum cancel often threads on direct accusations between players.

Gday Im with Old Warrior here i know its annoying when people resign without giving reason or comment, but naming players is not good form.If someone resigns on me i just move on and set up another challange.Honestly players have the right to resign if they feel the game is totally one sided or the wrong map pops up that will never suit your army. Example Swiss on open batlefield against Irish, total wate of time for the Irish as the Swiss will simply line up and march in extended line. There are players who could win with the Irish but most wouldnt.Im afraid naming someone has severe repercusions for that player as noone will want to play him. Thats not what this game is about ,sure it can be damn frustrating at times .If you have a problem with a player simply dont play them and move on,no need to shame them.

This wasn't a mismatch. It was two similar heavy foot spear/pike armies with neither side having any terrain advantage. The score finished 4/41 vs 2/52 with the casualties being light troops. So there can be no argument that one side was on a losing slide, that the armies were a mismatch or that the game was going to be a long drawn out shooting match. The player showed disrespect twice: firstly for the uniquely rude manner of his exiting the game and secondly for not replying to my personal message when I asked for an explanation. If the player had felt that his behaviour was acceptable then he would not have objected to his being named in the thread.

I understand your frustration and it happens to us all but i think what we are trying to say is please dont name players as this could have a huge snowball effect.Everyone has a reason it maybe personal and it may be tactical to resign. The option is there so you just have to put up with it im afraid :)

there is never justified name a player in forum, in anyone forum because this is universal etiquette for gaming forum, not this forum only. Every quarrel must remain in private messages if necessary and if there isnt answer this not permit flame on public for personal reason. Your attitude is impolite in every case and you broken etiquette rules.

I dont know what is your age but i think that u not know what are you doung with your bothering attitude in community.
