Now Alasdair - if you'd have said Louis XIV French you would have got 6 right (I only use the Royalist's to beat Paddy!!)

TYW Swedes, Later Imperial Spanish or Later Austrian Imperial were the back ups but having got a newly painted army I thought I'd better use it!!! Vive la France!

Dave M Allen (No idea but Large)
Having got my list in shamefully late  I can confirm that Alastair got another right.

I am fielding a "No Idea" army and it is a bit big.

Dave

Actually, Scots Covenant and less than 21 BGs.

Dave scores 4.5. Three of his correct ones are the same as Alasdair's.

I've, now had lists from everybody (thank you all), I'm just awaiting clarification of a couple.

Cheers,

Here's another attempt to waste the list checker's time:

Alisdair Harley Late Imperial Austrian
Pete Dalby (TYW Swedish)
Kevin Johnson (Later Swedish)
Ben Jones (TYW French)
Lance Flint (Jacobites)
Bob Medcraft (Later Swedish)
Simon LeRay Meyer (Later TYW German)
Charles Masefield (Royalist Raiders)
Don Avis (Later Louis XIV French)
Andy Kitcher (Later Swedish)
Adrian Steer (Anglo Dutch)
Richard Young (Bornu)
Martin Van Tol (Later Louis XIV French)
Richard Bodley-Scott (ECW Early Royalist)
Dave M Allen (Scots Covenanters)
Ric Davey (Dutch Colonial)

The dominance of WoR and D&G effectively making the case for more themed comps in Dave World

Dave scores 11 :D

I'm still awaiting the outcome of some queries. I'm hoping to be able to publish the full list when I'm next at home, which is probably on Thursday.

Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone who has entered this year's Challenge. Numbers are well up overall this year (60% increase in FOG R :D ), to the extent that we have filled all the tables. We cannot therefore take any more late entries.

I do, however, have a reserve waiting anxiously in the wings. With 120-odd entries, my experience is that usually something unexpected comes up for someone (hopefully nothing too drastic!!) and we get a drop-out or two over the last fortnight. I am not asking anyone to volunteer not to come!! However, if anyone does already know that they will not after all be able to make the event, please can you let me know?

Thank you all - I am looking forward to a great event!

Cheers,

Tim

I think that I would change Charles Masefield's list to Ottomans, possibly Early.

I think Richard would go for something other than ECW Early Royalist say Late Imperial Austrian.

Lots of swedes in the list.

Alasdair

Unless you meet the Swedes or Anglo-Dutch in the first round, I suspect you will play Sudanese, Hungarian, French, something ECW, and then Swedes in the last round.
