Deploying paratroopers

As a temporary, but fail proof solution:

Step1:

Use the cheat code:
air #N
Adds #N to air transports (can be negative)
EXAMPLE: air -5
To remove all of your available air transports

Step2:

Deploy your paratroopers.

Step 3:


Use the cheat again to give you back your air transports, if you want them back.

I believe Rudankort mentioned this idea a while back.

I have been using this and it has worked out quite well for me. Also playing with airborne over the last three weeks my experiance with the LZ's for them has been if I choose the zone under the aircraft - about 70% of the time they land in it, anything else is a crap shoot and is very realistic of the era, IMHO.

Just a quick and probably useless by now mention: you can deploy paratroopers without transport as ground units by hitting TAB (switch between air and ground units) with the unit selected in the deployment phase.
Apologies if the info is available elsewhere, but maybe by posting it in this specific thread will help other new players.
