Despite what you think this game is very popular and allot of people never post.

Just installed the 1.05 on top of 1.00, no errors, but main screen shows 1.00.

Must I install 1.04 before?

You should be able to install 1.05 directly on top of 1.00 as the patches are cumulative. The problem must be somewhere else. Check if you don't have multiple Panzer Corps installations and you are maybe starting an old version. If this is not the case possibly some anti virus software interfered with the installation. Disable your Anti Virus software temporarily and try to install the patch again. If this general hints do not help you we will need more information to be able to help you out.

Like Tarrak said, the updates are cumulative, so no need to install the previous.
Probably you haven't installed 1.05 update in the same folder of Panzer Corps 1.00.

I have spent some time searching the forum, but cannot find a 'Suggestions' sub forum, so I'll try it here.

A very small point, but I think it is worth putting forward.

It is very nice to get 'roleplaying' in the form of 'Heroes', awards & history.
I noticed a small omission which would add a bit to the hisory of the unit.
How about as well as the commissioning date of the unit, record the original equipment of the unit & it's upgrade path & dates?

Surely Pioneers should be better in an assault situation?

Signed up to the forums just so I could agree to this, I found this game by going to metacritic and sorting game by highest user score (as we all know 'professional reviews' are not always the best thing to go on) and boy this is the first time metacritic has proved useful to me as it led me to this great game!
