I haven't even played a single game of FoGAM since Warfare, and Im currently undecided whether I'll play one again before I see what's in v2 when it comes out. So past glories are all there are i'm afraid.

Well Tim, LH have been hamstrung very well, but there is some other very wierd (in a john candy shop of horrors sort of way) stuff being discussed

The picture of the tree army was, when it had only deployed 22 of its 42 Battle Groups. The units in the middle without trees were 2 Battle Groups of Average light troops.

Exactly what I was thinking. Personally I don't like it. I can accept the odd bush on a base, but I don't like the idea of all these trees moving around the battlefield. Does each javelinman pick up his tree and carry it around with him ?

Hard to tell from the photo. But those trees looked barley primed. I would say this comes perilously close to being inappropirate. Even more so since its a gag army. I hope the player got prior approval from comp organizer. I don't want to be a nit about these things, but c'mon.

What a great idea!

Rather than buying figures for FoG:R I could just stick a load of cotton wool on bases to represent powder smoke.

Seriously though, I agree with Dan - where do you draw the line on what is and isn't acceptable?

I like to use common sense.
Personally, I'll use something like that to try the army before deciding if I want to buy the figures, but would never take it to a competition (not that I'm hung up on historical accuracy).

In Medieval Ireland, tree uses you for cover.
