Cold Wars Doubles results

Post by babyshark »

Here are the final placings for the two Doubles events from this past Saturday. Because we only had three teams in 25mm and an odd number in 15mm, we had the 25mm guys play a round robin, with one of them playing a 15mm game each round. Bonus for everyone!

Cold Wars "Armored Knights" Theme results

Post by babyshark »

I attempted to run two Themes at Cold Wars this year: Armored Knights and Early China. Unfortunately, it did not work out the way I had hoped and so we ended up with just the Armored Knights. A variety of issues prevented the China theme from working, including the fact that the heading in the PEL listed the start time as noon, not 9:00. The body of the event description had my 9:00am start time in it, but the resulting confusion caused at least two potential players to arrive for a noon start. <sigh> Anyway, we had Dan Hazelwood slide over from China to Knights with his Ch'in list and Harvey Harmon was kind enough to lend his Western Wei army to Ken Winland for the tournament. Considering that Ken had initially intended to play 25mm and was using a borrowed army, he did pretty well. Full thanks to both him and to Harvey for helping even out the numbers.

Without further ado, here are the results. See you all at Historicon,

Marc
