Which I think just leaves my contest with SpeedyCM in Germany. This is still ongoing because I initially set up the wrong game and we wasted a bit of time before that was discovered. In theory there are 6 turns left but with the score 59 -54 when I sent off my last move, about 6 hours ago, I think 6 more turns are unlikely.

As it turned out that was the last turn. The German States (PeterthePainter) only just defeated the Imperials (SpeedyCM) 68 -54.

Essentially the battle was a massive head on clash of Landsknecht Keils with cavalry on the flanks trying to get behind the opponents Keils. When a Keil broke the rout percentage really jumped (by 8%), but when one rallied from routing, of course, the opposite happened. This made for wild changes in the rout percentages. My opponent fell behind early on, too few guns and too many Demi Lancers in my opinion, but then fought tooth and nail to claw back to 59 -57 in the penultimate turn. When the battle ended two of my remaining Keils were about to rear charged so this really was on a knife edge. Very well played to my opponent.
