If there's a player control issue and you're playing against the AI, you could always self impose rules and restrictions upon yourself, such as moving your units and resolving melee, shooting, etc., strictly in the order your units are numbered. The AI is already outside of player control, so to speak.CharlesdeBatz wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 9:01 am Is it possible to stop the AI from manually adjudicating the melees? I don't like doing it for the same reason as SnuggleBunnies (feeling it gives too much control to the player), but it appears the AI will do it regardless.

So are you saying that the AI doesn't adjudicate the melees manually, with the most favorable ones for its side being adjudicated first? That is, that it only does so in the order that the units engaged in melee are numbered?kronenblatt wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 11:03 am If there's a player control issue and you're playing against the AI, you could always self impose rules and restrictions upon yourself, such as moving your units and resolving melee, shooting, etc., strictly in the order your units are numbered. No, I don't know about that. All I'm saying is that in case you feel that manually deciding order for your own units gives too much control to you as (human) player, then you may decide to do it in a pre-determined order, such as the order in which your units are numbered. Could be any other pre-determined mechanism, such as the ones in the front first, starting from left to right. So it solves more the issue of giving too much feeling control to the player, nothing with the AI.CharlesdeBatz wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 6:30 pmSo are you saying that the AI doesn't adjudicate the melees manually, with the most favorable ones for its side being adjudicated first? Re: A few questions about FoG II
Well currently I just let all melees adjudicate in the post-turn melee phase (like in P&S and SJ), rather than adjudicating them during my turn. But I was looking for a way to prevent the AI from conducting manual adjudication as well, as otherwise I'm at a pretty large disadvantage.
