End Stalled Game post update

I have had no notification from the programmer that the issue is supposed to be fixed, so I wouldn't worry about it until he is happy with it.

Hi Richard is there any date on this being resolved? There does seem to be a reluctance to play by players this season and it would be good if the games feature of being able to claim a game after 7 days of no activity was returned to the way it was designed.

It is now over 3 months and I have been patient but surely this issue will be fixed shortly. We are starting the DL soon as you know and it would be nice to have it working before we begin.

You could try PMing petirouge if you like, but I don't think he visits the forums much, so might not see it.

You could try PMing manickennel to put some pressure on.

And can someone restate exactly what happens currently when you attempt to End a Stalled Game in Ancients, and in Medieval. What error message, if any, do you see? Or does the battle just fail to disappear from the list?

(End Stalled Game works in both games for MP games I start against myself, so it appears that the issue only affects games against a different user)

Have you actually tried it lately? It seems to be working for me, but I don't have any very old games to try it on.

Maybe they fixed it but the fix doesn't work for games from before the fix.

Ok, got my hopes up, since you wrote that "It seems to be working for me".

No games for me either unfortunately, but as late as early May it still didn't work. And I can only speak for Ancients.

I have 2 games in Ancients one last played 5 May and the other 25 April, Both have the same message which is, "You cannot claim this game as it has been updated in the last 7 days." I saw your earlier comment and the original games I queried about 3 months ago have disappeared but that might be from another process. I do not have any games in Medieval that have gone over 7 days.

Apparently, "the server sets the old challenges as “abandoned” after 30 days, then, after 7 days, it sets them as “finished”."

You mean that it now works in Ancients to remove a game that hasn't been updated by the opponent in at least 7 days?

I could be that these games disappear in another process, maybe after 30+7 days after last updated. Just guessing, but I had a abandoned game that was last updated 7 April that finally disappeared mid-May, I think. The one below:

Yes it has disappeared but I'm not 100% sure when it was. It would be somewhere between 30 and 37 days after it was last played.

Further to my last message the next game in line was last played on 5 May so is over 30 days but not 37.

Having similar problems. A paired match was picked up on May 22 but never played. Can't delete these and getting the same 7-day message. Not a huge problem, but I'm OCD enough to wish it would go away.

I've got the same problem as Deeter...2 games from 26 May and when I try and claim them it says they have been updated within 7 days (they haven't). I also have deeters OCD problem

This issue may possibly be fixed, at least for Ancients. Please can you try ending the stalled games and report back.
