Re: LOEG Season 9 – Communications and results – Imperial
I'm still waiting on zumHeuriger as well. Solly and I are locked in a battle of two scorpions in a soda bottle and Flatsix (the thick) and I will tee off shortly.
This is great fun.

Remember we have until January 31st to finish.
Be careful if you play all games too quickly you will have none left and then you may have to go "cold turkey" for a while:)

Re: LOEG Season 9 – Communications and results – Imperial
Don't worry. I've already started pick up games to test drive my armies for next season.
BTW. Any idea on when Season 10 will start. I think i saw some chatter about waiting for Digital FoG v2. Do we have to wait?
Best,
John

Since you're lurking, some...
Eric can you make a posting on how division promotions and relegations work?
Also, is a person promoted league-by-league? (i.e., promoted to Div B in say classical, but remain in Div C in another period -- or be in Div C for playing first time in a certain league/period)?
Best,
John

Re: LOEG Season 9 – Communications and results – Imperial
Hi John
Good point, again it had always been the top or bottom 2 from each seperate division but there had been no explanation in the Rules and Regs.
Just changed them (Season 9) and so.
The top 2 players from each of the Divisions, that is Classical, Imperial, Dark Ages and Medieval (B and C divisions) will be promoted. Likewise the bottom 2 players from each Division, that is Classical, Imperial, Dark Ages and Medieval (A and B divisions) will be relegated.
This may be changed based on, "Returning players will automatically be placed in the relevant division based on rankings/standings".
However I may look into this a bit more. If 2 or more season have been missed I may place returning players in a lower division.
Cheers
Eric

Lydianed (Lydians) 38/44 vs George123 (Carthaginians in Africa) 48/45
A really close fought battle. The Lydians defended a small ridge beating off a feint on the right flank that could have wrapped the game up quickly for the Africans. In the end the terrain and a larger cavalry force enabled the Lydians to eke out a narrow win. Great game, well played and thanks to George123.
The Lydians avoid a complete series whitewash!

Well done Lydianed about time those Lydians proved their worth.

Supervark Ancient British (Cassiviellaunnus) 26/51 Rom1944 Spanish (Celtibrian) 63/63. Managed to distract a large part of the army with a few Chariots which had some very good dice rolls by the way. Then the good old British infantry sneaked through the forest on there left and rolled up his flank. Lucky game for the Brits with some excellent dice rolls.

fogman (later medieval germans) 10/47 vs mike48 (early teutonics) 30/30.
major matchup problem for the knights in this one. no room to maneuver against the pikes.
