mr cholo - Dailami defeats Nijis - Viking (Ireland) 42-2
Battlefield was bad for vikings and their heavy foot. Terrain was divided for a deep stream and numerical superiority of dailami did flanking movement possible meanwhile heavy foot was fixed and cannot chargue trough the stream. Thanks for the game.

Zawzgrzyt - Armenian 885-1045 AD defeated JoseyWales - Anglo-Saxon 950 -1016 AD with Viking 900-1049 AD allies 62-49
Even, tough battle. I wasn't sure if anyone would survive until sunset. Special thanks to my archers who occupied the central area of the rough terrain around which the battle was fought. From there, they showered the enemy with arrows, launched flank attacks and finally faced the heavy infantry there ... with success.
Good game JoseyWales, thanks.

Division E
Geoffrey.P.Smith (Median 626-550 BC with Cimmerian allies) defeated General Kostas (Egyptian 570-525 BC with Kyrenean Greek allies) 49-20
I was a lot closer than the scores would suggest. The Medes had gained an early lead with intensive arrow storms breaking up many of the lighter Egyptian troops, but as the heavy phalanx units of the Kyrenean Greeks came in the tide began to turn. Only the momentum of the Medes' earlier success caused the Egyptian army to lose heart before the fighting went their way. Good game thank you General Kostas.

Malabar26 (Thracian (Hellenistic) 350-281 BC with Antigonid 320-301 BC allies) defeats sivispacem (Thessalian 404-352 BC) 65-47
What a game. The Thracians deployed on a plain bordered by a river on their left while the Antigonid phalanx stood on a hill, protecting the right flank. The numerous hellenistic cavalry was then tasked to cover the phalanx on their right and to threaten the left flank of the Thessalian army. But the Thessalian cavalry, rather than agreeing to a cavalry fight where they'll have to be the defender, chose another strategy, bold and cunning. Alongside the skirmishers most of them charged the poor massed peltasts on the Thracian's left flank. Antigonid elephants and Thracian noble cavalry had to come to the rescue to delay the disaster. On the right, the pike phalanx marched to meet the greek hoplites, hoping to crush them before the same fate happens to the thracians peltasts.
The phalanx struck swiftely, middle, left and right, destroying any hoplite formation that stood before them. But then a bad news came from the right wing : in a powerful charge, Thessalians cavalrymen had enveloped the Antigonid xystophoroi and before they could understand what was happening, the whole cavalry wing was routed.
At this point of the battle, the field was covered with thousands of dead bodies. But still, no army could claim the victory... The Antigonid phalanx remained intact while the Thessalian cavalry was dominating the field.
The last few hours of the battle saw each army try to seek and destroy the enemy units they could, in small skirmishes all over the plain.
Thanks to my opponent for the good and though game!
