I have one uncompleted game vs. Lyn57. I posted the challenge and PMed on April 13 but never got a reply.

I (Stones 1985) have two outstanding current games but I can't post screenshots as in both cases it is my opponents move and they haven't done so for several days.

Against El Tomato I believe the score at the end of my turn was around 25 to 5 in my favour.

Against luciussulla I believe the score at the end of my turn was about 15-22 in his favour.

Perhaps if my opponents are following this thread they can post the screenshots or confirm the scores.

(Geffalrus - willing to take your word for it)
Further to my message above El Tomato made his turn today - the score at the beginning was actually 31 to 7 to me and at the end of my turn it is now finished at 50 to 7.

(Geffalrus - unfortunately, this is past the deadline, so I will be using the previously submitted score. Captain's orders I'm afraid.)

A big thanks to Geffalrus and the others helping to make the TDC happen and a successful first outing. Big boots to fill but I think you can be pleased with getting this up and running. I appreciate the work done by you all. Thank you.

Thanks for organising this tournaments guys, you all did great.
Got to say I really like the scoring system that discourages playing for the low scoring draw.

Thanks so much Geffalrus (and Eric et al.) for organizing and running this and for putting up with my sometimes-hobby of playing with excel ;)

And agree with the others - scoring clearly rewards playing to win which is great!

Karvon's a great player to learn against. Interestingly enough, my first match against him in the Digital League saw me taking Antigonids vs. his Greco-Bactrians. I spent 90% of that match marching back and forth across the entire map trying to pin down his cavalry. In fact, it was those tactics that I was forced to remember after my first few attempts at playing Bactrians "normally" this season, crashed and burned.

TDC III - Imperial - Challenges

Post by Karvon »

Thanks very much for entering - The Divisional Championships III (TDC III)

We expect all players to know and understand the rules and to accept them.

Please read the rules - viewtopic.php?f=683&t=107984

During the competition, please contact your opponent and the person running the period if you are going to be delayed. Failure to do so could lead to the game being claimed by your opponent and for you to be replaced by a reserve.

When issuing challenges please make sure you are using the correct format. Note you will need to download the Silk Road modules.

Challenge format for Imperial: open, potluck, 24 turns, 40W x 32H maps and 1600 points.

Issuing challenges for Imperial use the format of “Names, Armies, confirm match created, confirm personal message sent, list password.”

For example:

"ericdoman1 Byzantine 551 - 578 with Arab Bedouin Allies 300 - 633 challenges tyrone Northern Dynasties (Western Wei) 535-556; match is up, personal message sent, and password is.... havefun".

Don’t forget to send that PM!

To make it easier for players to know they have received a challenge: Go to top right. Click on Notifications, then settings and tick all boxes or most appropriate ones.

This is not compulsory, but it might be worth editing your match challenge post with the phrase: “game started” - doing so will help the organizers keep track of how things are progressing.

Enjoy and have a "chat" with your opponent. You may have quite a lot in common.

Thanks very much for entering - The Divisional Championships III (TDC III)

Later Medieval is open for challenges

We expect all players to know and understand the rules and to accept them.
Please read the rules - https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=107984
During the competition, please contact your opponent and the person running the period if you are going to be delayed. Failure to do so could lead to the game being claimed by your opponent and for you to be replaced by a reserve.

When issuing challenges please make sure you are using the correct format. Note that some games may need the use of the time warp facility against certain opponents using FOG2 armies.

For Early and Later Medieval, open, potluck, 24 turns, 32W x 32H maps and 1200 points.

Issuing challenges for Later Medieval use the format of “Names, Armies, confirm match created, confirm personal message sent, list password.”

For example:
"carpenkm (Byzantine (Italy) 1050-1071 with Papal 1050-1154) challenges Karvon (Navarrese 1050 – 1154 AD); match is up, personal message sent, and password is.... havefun". Don’t forget to send that PM!

To make it easier for players to know they have received a challenge: Go to top right. Click on Notifications, then settings and tick all boxes or most appropriate ones.

Only one army list can be chosen for each division. For example, only one Arab (Syria/Iraq) 890 - 1008 AD can be chosen, however another player can choose a different Arab Army.

Please include your 3 choices as below

Neapolitan 1443 - 1500 AD
Bohemian 1200 - 1319 AD
French 1050 - 1154 AD with Breton Allies 1050 - 1154 AD

Players will be awarded their choice based upon their ranking. Lower ranked players will receive their 1st choice while the highest ranked players will often receive only their 2nd or 3rd choice. There may be occasions when a 4th selection is required.

Please keep track of who has added their 3 choices and be prepared to change your choices at all times.

Players cannot use the same army list, variant army or same allies in the same period the following season. Nor can they use the same army list in a different period the following season. However they can use a "variant" army or allies in a different period the following season.

Variant (Armies) – All armies that have the same “first” name, for example Roman, Carthaginian, Byzantine and so on.

Final date for entries is 5th Jan.

If you have any doubts, then please contact the person who is looking after this period (harveylh)

TDC III - Early Medieval 1038 to 1319 AD - Divisions and Armies assigned

Post by ericdoman1 »

Greetings all:

We are open for sign ups. Please finalize your army picks by Jan 5.

I, Karvon, will be coordinating things for this section in season 3. After some discussion, the coordinators decided to revert to the previous division of early and late for the period, rather than east and west which we experimented with last season. Silk Road may be organized as a separate section if there is enough interest.

After consulting with Richard, we've elected to divide at the year 1320. There are a handful of armies that overlap this division and may be selected in either section to play; the Dailami are one example.

We are NOT going with Time Warp this season, so only armies found in Medieval are eligible for selection.

Required DLCs: Reconquista, Swords and Scimitars, Storm of Arrows, Sublime Porte

All armies that are allowed in Early Medieval, this includes allies

Please read the rules - https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=107984

To enter all you need to do is simply post “I wish to enter” or similar. You must also include your choice of 3 armies and allies in the same post by the 7th of January.

Only one army list can be chosen for each division. For example, only one Byzantine 1155-1204 AD army list regardless of ally can be chosen. However, another player can choose a different Byzantine army list with a different (not overlapping) date range such as the Byzantine army 1205-1261 AD.

Please include your 3 choices as below

Ghaznavid 1041 - 1187
Rus 1265 - 1379 with Tatar 1242 -1339 Allies
Polish 1455 - 1500

Players will be awarded their choice based upon their ranking. Lower ranked players will receive their 1st choice while the highest-ranked players will often receive only their 2nd or 3rd choice.

Variant (Armies) – All armies that have the same “first” name. For example German, Berber, Byzantine and so on.

Final date for entries is 5th January.

If you have any questions, then please contact the person who is looking after that specific period. For Early Medieval please PM Karvon

Karvon

TDC III - Early Medieval Divisions, Army Allocations and challenges

Post by ericdoman1 »

Thanks very much for entering - The Divisional Championships III

We plan to start on the 7th of January.

We expect all players to know and understand the rules and to accept them.

During the competition, please contact your opponent and the person running the period if you are going to be delayed. Failure to do so could lead to the game being claimed by your opponent and for you to be replaced by a reserve.

When issuing challenges please make sure you are using the correct format

EarlyMedieval, open, potluck, 24 turns, 32W x 32H maps and 1200 points.

Issuing challenges for Early Medieval use the format of “Names, Armies, confirm match created, confirm personal message sent, list password.”

For example:

Division A

"harveylh (Crusader 1155 -1291 AD) challenges ericdoman1 (Indian Muslim 1192 - 1339 AD); match is up, personal message sent, and password is.... 1234"

To make it easier for players to know they have received a challenge: Go to Notifications, top left, then settings and tick all or what is most appropriate

This is not compulsory, but it might be worth editing your match challenge post with the phrase: “game started” - doing so will help the organizers keep track of how things are progressing.

Enjoy and have a "chat" with your opponent. You may have quite a lot in common.

Karvon

TDC III - Early Medieval - Posting Results

Post by ericdoman1 »

When you finish a match, please have the winner post the results as:

......
Division A

Questar17 - Latin Greece 1205-1311 AD with Seljuq Turkish (West) 1155-1307 AD ally beats Rosedelio - Bulgarian 1186-1299 AD with Latin Greece 1205-1311 AD ally 59:33

Adding a brief description of the battle and screenshot is always a nice touch.
..........

In the example, 59 refers to the rout percentage inflicted upon the Bulgarians, while 33 is the Latin Greek losses. These are the numbers you see in the upper left of the screen when the match ends.

Western Medieval armies are to the west or left of this line. In FOG II Medieval. Click on Battles on main menu, Custom Battle, PICK YOUR ARMY, in the Own Army List, go to the W-E box and click on that. All armies that are allowed in Eastern Medieval is from Anglo Irish 1167 - 1274 to Swedish 1397 - 1500.
Don't you mean 'Western Medieval is from Anglo Irish 1167 - 1274 to Swedish 1397 - 1500.' ?

If two armies from Ancients are to fight each other, would they use FoG Ancients or Time warp ?
The point costs can be quite different.
