Can't help. That feels like being systematically delayed.

Didn't get turn 10 of my AXIS game where the result is due.

But I did get the next turn of my ALLIED game.
Took OPPELN airfield now, while none of the objectives are immediately threatened by Germans...I would've conceded the game some turns ago if I had to play the AXIS under these circumstances.

Really hope that this will come to some conclusion during the next few months.

Corrected Round 1 results

Post by goose_2 »

Ok I am so close to posting the next matches:

While we are waiting I am posting a link to a page that details a number of tips on how to play multiplayer:
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... layer+tips

I have not brought it up as it details a pretty step by step way of playing the Poland scenario that I did not want to taint the Tournament with.

Here is the corrected layout of ROUND 1 as there were a couple of mistakes on my part.

Round 2 Norway Paired Game (Corrected)

Post by goose_2 »

SO EXCITED!!!

Please note: Pay close attention to the winning conditions for Norway, because you do not need to take Namsos in order to achieve Victory, but it could be the key tiebreaker in games where opponents win on the same round.

Here it is the match ups for Round 2 Norway: Deadline Friday March 2nd
Players on the left set up the match.
Issue a Challenge:
Norway
Paired Game
put your opponents name in the description
you need to click undo off (The system has a glitch and does not show undo as selected off, but it should be set up that way)
set the password as:

Players on the right go into multiplayer Accept Challenge, find your opponent, name to the left, type in the password,
Play your German turn

Hopefully last correction

Players should be playing both sides subsequently and you will have until Friday, March 2nd, 2018 to complete your match so I can set up Round 3. (Low Countries)

Again the Rules for winning:

How do you win a scenario?
Winning conditions will be based on the following:
1) Who wins the match up first. IE: You are playing your opponent and you get the last victory Objective on Turn 12, they do it on Turn 13 You win because you were faster.

2) If you both win on the same day, then it will be determined based on who has the most 2ndary Objectives. IE: You both win on Turn 12, but you have 4 2ndary Objectives and your opponent has only 3. You win because you took over and held more stuff.

3) If you both win on the same day and have the same number of 2ndary Objectives. It will come down to who ends with the most prestige to determine the winner. IE: You both win on the same day and with same number of objectives taken, but you have 500 in prestige and they have 499, you win because of your asset management.

So...If both opponents lose as the Germans, than it will come down to how much territory the Germans were able to maintain.
Starting with Primary Objectives:

1) You have 3 Primary and your opponent has 2 Primary...You win.
If those are the same...
2) It will then come down to 2ndary Objectives. You and your opponent both have 2 Primary Objectives, but you have 1 2ndary and your opponent has none. You win.
If those are the same...
3) If those end up being the same, the 3rd condition will be a little different, it will come down to how many surviving units you have on the map, not prestige.
So, you have 2 Primary and your opponent has 2 Primary and you both have no 2ndary Objectives, but you have 5 units remaining, 4 infantry and 1 tank, and your opponent has 4, 2 tanks and 2 inf...you win.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Blessings on your match ups, and as always...Stay Lutheran My Friends!

This is triple elimination, so you have to lose this round and round 3 to be eliminated, but I understand if you want to bow out.

If so let me know and your opponent will get a pass this round, or play him for fun and I can remove you from Round 3 if you would like.

I set up my game with warhomer half a day ago. Hope that we will get started soon to be able to make it to the deadline since I can only play a few turns every day, max.

Hi, I have a query before I can get started.

My opponent has set up a challenge, and I can see it in the multiplayer queue. However, when I look at it, it displays a warning in bold red letters "This challenge uses custom or modified scenario."

None of the other Norway tournament games display this warning when I look at them. I suspect there may be something wrong with how my opponent has set up the game? For obvious reasons I don't want to accept the challenge until this has been clarified - any idea what would cause this?

Most people have that coming up on their set ups, at least I do on mine, I believe it is part of the 1.30 updates, but if you think your player is up to shenanigans save the replay and let me see it and keep me informed.

I expect fairness and do not tolerate cheating.

Cheating brings too many tears.

The games I start have show this warning, too. I never used mods, made in clean reinstall via Steam in January, had Steam check the games file integrity and manually checked the games folders - everything dates to the install date.

This must be some error.

Also, I lost both games during round 1. If I cheated, then I had been the worst cheater, ever. :)

Thanks for the feedback - from the sound of it this is pretty normal, so I wont worry. For all I know it comes up when I create a multiplayer challenge (I've still never created one) - It's just that I didn't see a similar warning in round one, so was a little alarmed.

Thanks again, and good luck to all in Round 2.

Ok, I have issued my challenge to 'buffaloraven' twice ( just to be sure ). I do not see my issued challenge in the 'accept challenge' category, but my game does show that my challenge has been issued. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you

Your issued games will not show in the accept a challenge place on multiplayer as you cannot accept your own challenge, otherwise some kind of rip in the space time continuum or something like that...;)

But your opponent should be able to see it and hopefully will be accepting it soon.

Hey guys if the time constraints get to be too much I am willing to allow a little longer on this map, so maybe March 5th as a deadline.

I do want to keep moving forward with this tournament so the quicker the better.

Thanks

Thank you, goose_2. I was wondering about being able to see my issued games. Other games I play via the Slitherene lobby do show issued games by the issuer.

That's an interesting Scenario, Norway, on both sides. Feels more challenging than playing it within the basic campaign, where the AXIS force composition would be different.

And it is really interesting to use the units of minor allied countries - Poland, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands ...
