Stew101 Franks defeats Heidipie's Byzantines.

Score 51 - 25 %.

It was very generous of the Byzantines to bring so many horses for my Franks.
But H didnt seem to like my reasonable request the Bizzies hand over their mounts.

So the Franks decided to block the path to Ravenna by occupying a large hill in one corner of the map. Once deployed they waited for the Bizzie's to close. Then they charged off their hill into one almighty melee, which the Frankish warbands and cavalry eventually got the better off.

Great game which I think both H and I really enjoyed.

yes , great game, where the second class roman foot turned out to be pretty good , shielding the war bands from the usual smash up by heavy horse
of course in real life, a fantastic offer would have been made, and i would now be Emperor in Ravenna, with Stew appointed Major Factorum....

Who would have thought this tournament would go the full length? It seemed very likely for someone to reach Ravenna already in rounds 5 and 6. But now we're here, in round 7, finally!

Normally the attacker decides on which army lists to use. But since this is the last round, alternatives are limited to one or sometimes even to zero so the following applies:

• kronenblatt can only attack with Visigoths now, and Stew101 only with Huns.

• heidipie and Armchairbaron cannot select their only remaining attacking army list of Visigoths, since kronenblatt is already attacking with it, so their defenders will select their which army lists to use in the attacks.
