- The defender creates the challenge in the FoG2 Multiplayer Lobby, always with himself as Side B (in order for the other player to immediately be able to deploy and make first round when accepting the challenge).
- In order to create a challenge with An Empire in Flames armies, after having launched New Challenge and Create Skirmish, press Select Another Module and therein An Empire in Flames v3, which will make the An Empire in Flames armies available.
- All battles (whether Conquests or Raids) take the form of:
- Custom Battle
- 24 turns
- Remove the Head scenario
- Large (1600 FP) force size (adjusted for Roman factions by their players' current FP Penalties in Conquest battles, as specified above in the respective battles)

- Battle outcome, once resolved, is posted by the winner, or the player having inflicted the most casualties, in a post in the campaign thread.
- Please conclude the battles within a five-week period, i.e., no later than October 22.
- In this sixth round three additional provinces (i.e., four provinces in total) will be taken control of by the victor (if any) in a Conquest battle.
- This will be in addition to any further additional provinces for the victor if killing his enemy C-in-C in the Conquest battle.

The Romans beat the Goths by killing their C-in-C! Before that it looked like it was going to be an Adrianople.^^ GG!

The mighty Romans put up a good fight, but the brave "barbarians" finally showed them what Germanic tribes are made of. GG as usual!^^

2b. Raid: Geffalrus (Sassanids, 1600 FP) versus Aetius39 (Romans IV, 1600 FP) in XXV Phoenicia. Middle-Eastern Agricultural.
Aetius (Romans) defeats Geffalrus (Sassanids) 7-2 due to Sassanid C-in-C falling!
This was shaping up to be an interesting battle. The Romans were getting pelted with lots of arrows, of course, but the legions were doing well against the Cats and a few of their cavalry caught up with some of their retreating ones. Alas, the Sassanid general fell while trying to bring back order to the battlefield. Another victory for the legions! GG!

Re: An Empire in Flames - Campaign II: Ongoing
Hi guys,
I cannot believe you are still slugging this one out.
Really enjoyed the campaign & hoping to renew games with you all soon.
My thanks again to K for putting it on.
Have had to put all forms of gaming on the back burner for a few weeks, but back in the chair again now.
Have even had time to paint a few miniatures.
And done some more work on a FOG campaign of my own - Based on the life and battles of Harald Hardrada.
Not there yet, but would be interested in knowing if you'd be interested?
Good luck in the remaining turns.
PS - Hi Geffalrus. Sorry cannot let you have those lucky rally dice yet. Need them for 'on board' cassino in '24.
Taking a well deserved cruise to Kroneblatt's neighbourhood. Cannot wait.
Regards Stew.

Haha, well my current desperate need is for dice that don't kill my CinC every five seconds.

Swing by Kro's place while you're at it and steal his, since I did my level best to murder his CinC and he just scampered off like it was a Sunday picnic.

We should all Stand With Ukraine.

My CinC stayed the f#$& out of combat and watched things from a properly safe distance. My heavy units were able to overrun kro's infantry in the center before the forests on the right flank could disgorge more of what seemed like an endless horde of auxilia and cavalry.

Round VI (270-272 AD): Administration
The conquest battle between Aetius39 and Geffalrus, ending with the former's victory, results in four provinces in total being gained by Aetius39.
Geffalrus and kronenblatt fought two conquest battles, winning one each and thus the net of province gains becoming zero (four minus four), but since Geffalrus' C-in-C fell in battle for the third time, three of his provinces are gained by kronenblatt.
The only victorious raid, that of Aetius39's Franks against kronenblatt upon Belgica III, leads to the province being Lost to The Empire and kronenblatt's FP (in conquest battles) down another 50 FP, to 1500 FP.
Aetius39's successful defenses against the raiding Sassanids and Goths ensure that they can't raid him next round.
All in all, this was the round of Aetius39!

Round VII (272-274 AD): attack declarations
Attack declarations (order based on number of controlled provinces and then FPs)
- Aetius39 (13 provinces, 1600 FP, 0 C-in-C's fallen in battle): November 24
- kronenblatt (10.5 provinces, 1500 FP, 0 C-in-C's fallen in battle): November 25
- Geffalrus (3 provinces, 1575 FP, 3 C-in-C's fallen in battle): November 26
- No Raid attacks by Goths and Sassanids upon any of Aetius39's provinces are allowed this round.
- The attack declaration should be made in a post in the campaign thread on the forum.
- There are two types of attacks (Conquest and Raid).
- Players are each round required (if possible) to declare one Conquest attack but can decide whether to also declare one Raid attack that round.
- A player’s Conquest and Raid attacks in a round cannot be made upon one and the same Roman faction but must be made upon two different Roman factions.
- Example on how to express an attack declaration:
- Conquest: kronenblatt attacks rs2excelsior's Italia (XIII) from Raetia (VII).
- Raid: Franks attack Germania Inferior (IV) from homelands.
- Raid: Franks attack from Germania Inferior (IV). (this normal raid attack requires Germania Inferior (IV) to have already been successfully raided and thus looted by the Franks.)
- (Sea) Raid: Goths attack Macedonia (XVII) from homelands. (sea raid attacks are always made from Goths' homelands.)
- Date (midnight CET (Rome) time) above indicates deadline, after which opportunity for you to declare attack is forfeited and the player next in line may declare his attack.
- Once you have declared an attack, please PM the player next in line, who will then be free to declare his attack, up to his deadline, so we all don't need to wait for each player's deadline.
