Because Scoundrel Hidde is in the 6.xx bracket and you are in the 5.xx bracket?

My question is What formula do you use to get the final score? If you win 10 out of 20 games, will you get a higher score than winning 5 out of 10 games?

Correct. Scoundrel with a capital S...hm,what can that signify, I wonder 8)

Each game won give 12-8-6 and 4pts for div A-B-C and D respectively. The sum is divided with number of games played.
So the answer is no.

Just to clarify - the values given by Anders above are the FOGDL values; draws are scored at 6-4-3-2. But the current set of ratings are unusual inasmuch as they contain data from LOEG Season 10 where the values were 10-7-5-3. When we do the next set of ratings for May 1st 2014 the LOEG data will be discarded and everything will be scored at 12-8-6-4 - so the ratings will rise slightly across the board (by around 10%).

So a player playing 20 games, winning 11 games and losing 9 will get a better rating than a player playing 10 games, winning 10 games and losing none.

I guess this makes sense in a way because it encourages players to get involved in more periods. But I don't think it will give an accurate value of players ability. If PB or Eric misses a season or two they could drop out of Division A for example.

ps. I found a pic of me and hidde

If an A division player in FOG DL plays 20 and wins 11 his rating will be calculated as 11x12 = 132 divided by 20 = 6.60
If an A division player in FOG DL plays 10 and wins 10 his rating will be calculated as 10x12 = 120 divided by 10 = 12.00

It is exactly the same way as LOEG except the values are 12-8-6-4 for wins instead of 10-7-5-3. If players of Steve and Eric's calibre drop out for a season then they will still be placed in Division A when they return - but if someone who often comes 7th or 8th in Division A drops out for a while then they might be put in Division B on their return. It really depends on who has entered in each particular season.

Re: Recruitment for Season 2 opens today . . .

Post by stockwellpete »

I will start sending out the invitations today to those players who entered Season 1 of the competition. Please remember that this season will be of 11 week's duration so do not over commit yourselves to matches. It is expected that you will complete all your matches in this competition. You will find all the information about the armies in the relevant recruitment threads. Armies may not be larger than 50 units and may not consist of more than 10 LF.

Please wait for your invitation before posting your army choices in the recruitment threads. :D
