Yes! What does the colour scheme signify? Why am I in pink while that scoundrel Hidde is in an attractive and martial shade of red?Any questions?

Because Scoundrel Hidde is in the 6.xx bracket and you are in the 5.xx bracket?Londo wrote:Yes! What does the colour scheme signify? Why am I in pink while that scoundrel Hidde is in an attractive and martial shade of red?Any questions?
Correct. Scoundrel with a capital S...hm,what can that signify, I wonderBecause Scoundrel Hidde is in the 6.xx bracket and you are in the 5.xx bracket?
Each game won give 12-8-6 and 4pts for div A-B-C and D respectively. The sum is divided with number of games played. My question is What formula do you use to get the final score? If you win 10 out of 20 games, will you get a higher score than winning 5 out of 10 games?
Just to clarify - the values given by Anders above are the FOGDL values; draws are scored at 6-4-3-2. But the current set of ratings are unusual inasmuch as they contain data from LOEG Season 10 where the values were 10-7-5-3. When we do the next set of ratings for May 1st 2014 the LOEG data will be discarded and everything will be scored at 12-8-6-4 - so the ratings will rise slightly across the board (by around 10%).hidde wrote:Each game won give 12-8-6 and 4pts for div A-B-C and D respectively. Hello Yuknoom. Your invitation will come by the middle of next week (same drill as Arminius). Welcome to the FOG Digital League.Yuknoom wrote:Sure, I'll give it a go. As long as there is crappy barbarian trash available, I'm in.
If an A division player in FOG DL plays 20 and wins 11 his rating will be calculated as 11x12 = 132 divided by 20 = 6.60ianiow wrote:So a player playing 20 games, winning 11 games and losing 9 will get a better rating than a player playing 10 games, winning 10 games and losing none.
I guess this makes sense in a way because it encourages players to get involved in more periods. But I don't think it will give an accurate value of players ability. If PB or Eric misses a season or two they could drop out of Division A for example.
