Division B
Morbio (Carthaginian (Hannibal in Italy) 216-203BC with Samnite 355-272 BC allies) holds off IMC (Galatian) 38 - 53
Bad tactics at the start gave an 10 nil lead, which was never recovered.

Division D
Tomoegozen ( Graeco-Bactrian) defeats Tresantes (Pyrrhic) 45 - 16.
The cataphracts managed to hold up the pike blocks long enough for my Elephant and a couple of my cavalry units to break through on my right which lead to a rear attack. The resulting combat then lead to some very fortunate pursuit moves in to other flanks and rears! After that the Pyrrhic centre collapsed. Tough for the pikes to cope with a mobile cataphract and cavalry army on a fairly open plain!

Pool A Group 2
klayeckles (lydian) defeats GDod (persians) 67 to 40
and
klayeckles(persian) defeats GDod (lydian) 60 to 58
(3-1)
two outstanding battles where the (now) fragile as eggs persians began both battles with a big edge as their vicious missile attacks rained death on the lydians. As the lydians i fought from a major deficit to more or less even. as evening closed in the persians suddenly lost heart and in one fluid motion their army headed for the hills.
As the persians i began with good terrain and punished the lydians...but then when the lydians finally came to grips with the persian, my army began to melt like butter in a furnace. soon the lydians were winning. both armies nearly broke only to be saved by a rally whistle...in the end the persians managed to eke out a victory by reaching for the goal line from the jaws of death....Great play, and sportsmenship...GDod is a worthy and cagey opponent.
Final standings
1. klayeckles P4 - 12pts
2. Cunningcairn P4 - 11pts
3. GDod P4 - 1pt
klayeckles has qualified for the knock out stage.

Blagrot (Skythian 750-551 BC) beat wmpryor (Median 836-627 BC) 65% - 40%
We both thought the Medians had a clear edge, the Medians lost both games, clearly I'm not good at predictions

Not a good matchup for the Lombards, their infantry was ground down and their cavalry trapped by spears and flanked. It didn't matter if a few British units broke, there were always plenty of reserves. Thanks for the game and good luck in future.

Close game until a Pyrrhic elephant double dropped on a cohesion check from an adjacent unit breaking. The elephant would have flank charged a Gallic superior warband and that was the turning point. Tough loss for my opponent who played an excellent game.

Re: First Time Control check is on Sunday 25th October . . .
Everyone in Biblical and the Themed Event have passed the first Time Control check. There is one player who has not reported a result in Biblical yet, but they have posted results in other sections and they have more matches in progress.
There are two players who I have not heard from at all yet and that is a concern affecting the other three sections. I will persevere until Sunday before I invite the reserves in.
