Div A:
Tiavals(Timurids) 21/30 vs Turk1964(Later Hungarian(Early)) 37/37
Considering that Turk chose the map by accident and it was greatly in my favour, he did very well, since I got the first 14 BPs or so without losing anything, simply by arrow superiority.

Division A
eric (palmyrans) 37/38 vs ian (Post Seleucids) 36/36.
Too ruddy close, too much to talk about, I got lucky in the end and didn't really deserve a win or even a draw.
I think the losing player in these sort of games should receive some points or even a point.

You can use this procedure if you want to . . .
i) A player may issue a challenge on the forum and clearly mark it "1st challenge". The player should also send a private message (PM) to the opponent and copy it to the appropriate convenor as well.
ii) If there is no contact from the opponent after 7 days, the player should issue another challenge on the forum and clearly mark it "2nd challenge" - and they should send another private message (PM) to the opponent and copy it again to the convenor as well.
iii) If the match has still not started after a further 7 days then the player should report that fact to the convenor so that the match can be subjected to adjudication by the tournament committee.

Poll 4 - the tournament threads - is now closed
Following on from poll 3, this question is asking whether you liked the way the tournament was presented on the forum? Was everything clear? Were the league tables well-designed and updated regularly enough? Did you like the weekly "Round-up" feature?
So overall, what did you think? If there are things that you think we could improve please post your ideas in this thread.

Re: Calling Semaeon . . .
If anyone is playing Semaeon could you let him know that there is a message waiting for him please?
Re: Voluntary procedure for those "difficult to arrange" mat
Hello Pete,
In fact the match, in High Middle Ages Division D, tofman04(me) vs portapenne is already finished and it was reported by me and included in the results table.
The other two are on the way.
Cheers,
Gabriel

Re: Poll 4 - the tournament threads
Displaying the results in a spread sheet as done for LoEG, whether explicitly maintained by the committee or one updated by the players provides a more compact display of the information than the tables used in the current season. If letting players enter their own results may cause more problems than it is worth, having the committee do all the maintenance may well make sense and only posting a read only copy to allow the information to be available to the players. Use of a spreadsheet to store the information would also make it easier for the committee to share copies of the file for each section so that backups would exist should any individual league convener lose their records.
The spreadsheet would not need to contain all the details in the LoEG sheets but should at least show the overall results for each game and probably a separate table showing current player standings.
Chris

Re: Poll 4 - the tournament threads
This is the new chart that we will be using next season. Instead of using 4-2-1-0 though we will be using W-D2-D1-L. Players will be able to see at a glance all the results, who they have played, and who they still have to play. Spread sheets have already been ruled out.
On this chart you just find your own name in the left hand column and then read across to find your results.

I like the new chart, you can tell at a glance who you have played.
