First of all, huge thanks for yours outstanding work. I am really looking forward for the release.

You can be sure that there are definitely more people waiting for the final result of your work than those who actively participate in this forum :)

If you don't mind just a short remark - one of the infantry (mountain) unit was named: "Pothale Mountain". In this case, the letter "T" should be replaced by the letter "D" (the name of the unit comes from Poland's geographical region "Podhale", not "Pothale").

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podhale

So, the unit name could be "Podhale Mountain", "Strzelcy Podhalanscy" (from Polish) or "Podhale Rifles" ;)

AKRebel,

Thank you for your kind words. As a side note, I need to say that what you have already done when it comes to "Polish units" is encouraging and there is no precedent in previous mods.

If you asked about any other and evenetual Polish units, let mi dare to suggest, e.g. some artillery equipment like Skoda 10 cm vz 14/19 ( https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/10_cm_hau ... %C5%A0koda ) and Skoda 22 cm hovitzer vz. 28 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skoda_220_mm_howitzer ). Of course, I realize how much it costs to prepare the appropriate icons of these units, so it's just a more of suggestion. An additional benefit would be that, for example, the Skoda 22 cm, after their capture by the Red Army in September 1939, was used during the Winter War against Finnish forces defending on the Mannerheim Line. As a consequence, it could be used also as a part of Soviet roster ;)

But much more important was the following equipment: "Anti tank rifle wz. 35" (please see below for details). I think it can be said that it is one of the symbols of the Polish Army equipment during the Fall Weiss operation. Moreover, I think that preparing an appropriate icon would not be a great challenge for you ;)

Again, thanks for your work and determination!

Hi Guuzidi,

Can I make you happy with your Skoda 10cm vs 14/19 gun?

It will be in the MOD :)

What can I say? It warms my heart to watch this gun :)

Joking aside, 100 mm wz. 1914/19 was one of the basic equipment elements of Polish light artillery regiments (pol. "pułki artylerii lekkiej") during the Polish Campaign in 1939. Thus, their presence in the MOD is a really nice thing for the issue of historical accuracy ;)

Yes the infantry units keep their flags on the battlefield. It looks all the same but you can see "Cavalry Wielkopolska" has a different flag. We try as much as possible to give the units their unic flag if they have so. Like this:

PROTOTYPES

Prototype units are units where only 10 or less units were produced from in WW2. Sometimes not even 1 was made and it only exists on the drawingboard. To put this units (we have a lot of them thanks to AKRebel) in the game we had to make restrictions to avoid that the player is buying dozens of that kind of units were in reality only a few or not even one was built. So we found a solusion by making this PROTOTYPE units. The player gets PROTOTYPE units for free in all kind of scenarios as core units. BUT the PROTOTYPE units can not receive replacements. You will get them with a strength of 10 but you can't repair battledamage. So in this way we can give you all kind of prototype units that make the game nice and interesting, but they will fade away in use. As long as you can keep their strength acceptable you can take this units with you as core units. Because the Polish have no campaign the core unit thing is not important for them. If you fight the German side you will face Polish PROTOTYPE units from time to time in the scenario. You can recognize them by the PROTOTYPE sign. So than you know any damage you do to this units will be permanent.

So you have no control over the purchase of PROTOTYPE units, just wait what Santa Claus will give you :) But we try to keep it realistic. You can expect "Dicker Max" with Barbarossa and "Emil" with the Stalingrad scenario for example. You will also be asked to test some prototype aircraft in the timeline like the Me-209.
What does it look like on the battlefield with the INFANTRY FLAGS and the PROTOTYPE indication ?

Hello guuzidi, here are the desired units. Did you imagine it that way? Further wishes?
I think phcas will expand the gun with gun crews

I agree I think every unit having flags is a bit much....I like what lennis29 said, have small badges below the units, other than that, you guys are doing great work with your new MOD. Keep it up guys!

In this mod we try to put in as much unic units as possible. I tried in the past little badges below the units like Lennis showed. But if every unit gets a little badge under it you will get a very restless and busy view on the battle field. A second problem of little badges under the units is that this badges are smaller than the flags that makes some badges unrecognizable because they have te be reduced in size to much.

Like you can see on the picture aircrafts and tank units can have numbers to indentify them. If you look at the Big pictures of a unit you will see the unic unit flags. If to many people do not like the infantry flags we have to think about it again.

The infantry flags reminds me of Napoleonic Wargame :

Maybe, you could create a version with and a version without the flags ?
