Re: Erik's Singleplayer scenarios
Market-Garden
I won it in the 3rd attempt with no tricks. Only decreased to difficulty level II. Very good this one, especially using GKM. Two problems: the airstrips, in fact airfields (since they can accommodate 6 units), are already built and no 52 Lowlands Air landing Div ever showed up. It did not made any difference, in the end, since the allies dispose of overwhelming forces; and a draw in the end, even achieving and sometimes exceeding all requirements. Good Job!

The 53 Lowland units will arrive in the Dakotas on the south part of the map after you have captured one of the airfields.

Re: Erik's Singleplayer scenarios
Nope. I played it again, no Lowlands Div, even after taking the second airstrip and keeping both of them occupied until the flags are risen. Anyway, my main concern is about victory conditions. Couldn't get any strategy, until now, which leads to an outcome different of a draw. No matter I finished the scen with all but one panzer kaputt, both bridges and the northern airport solidly taken. I arrived with a lot o troops trains in the conquered perimeter, already far away from the main cities, i. e. Arnhem and Osterbeck. Couldn't figure out what went wrong. Someone else has tried this beautiful scenario?
Re: Erik's Singleplayer scenarios
That is odd, I've played the 2v2, 2v1 and 1vAI and the Lowlands have always appeared.
Not that you really need them, though.

Yeah, if they arrive, it'll be probably too late to see action, except, perhaps, to help airborne to hold counterattacks from the east. And what about the outcome? Draw by default?

Re: Erik's Singleplayer scenarios
I agree with Mascarenhas, the Lowlands division comes in the MP versions, but not at all in the single player version even controlling both extra airfields
Re: Erik's Singleplayer scenarios
I'll take a look. I never did change anything about the Lowlands, so this is a bit strange.Chema_cagi wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 10:47 amI agree with Mascarenhas, the Lowlands division comes in the MP versions, but not at all in the single player version even controlling both extra airfields

Re: Erik's Singleplayer scenarios
thanks Erik, back on this now
Market-Garden 1944 1.3
as it's my favorite battle etc, and again i've forgotten what order do you add the leaders in?
as the Germans go first, but you can view the map and objectives before the battle, but it seems you can't assign leaders in that phase?
so onto the next turn, before you move of drop the para's etc, you get the chance to assign the leaders then, but not the ground units ones etc?
far too much going on in my head atm with some long tests done to remember, can you remind me? lol

please remember i'm old, daft and very forgetful

Re: Erik's Singleplayer scenarios
Hey Zak
If the commanders are available during the deployment phase you can assign them there.
It may be that some commanders are available on a later turn. You can assign them then, or wait.
I like to assign para commanders after the troops have landed, when the ground situation is more clear.
This also prevents any commanders from being wounded in-flight.
Hope that helps.
BTW, I'm working on a Market-Garden campaign. The scenarios are basically finished, but I need to script the AI for the later scenarios.
