For those of you who are driving up and planning how much cash to spend on beer over the weekend, looking at the latest version of the Charles St Parking website, http://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/ser ... /carparks/ it says charges are :

Monday-Friday
up to 3 hours - £3.00
3 — 6 hours - £5.00
6 — 10 hours - £8.00
10 — 24 hours - £10.00
Short stay parking - 16:00 - 23:59* - £2.00
Saturday and Sunday until 23:59* - £2.00
*PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU STAY AFTER MIDNIGHT THEN THE £10 OVERNIGHT CHARGE WILL APPLY (EXCEPT ON SATURDAYS)

This seems to suggest that for someone arriving on Friday and leaving Sunday evening the total charge will be:

Friday £10 (the "overnight" rate, which also covers the full day on Friday)
Saturday £2 (daily rate, no overnight charge on Saturday/Sunday)
Sunday £2 (daily rate)
= £14
