Re: [Axis Campaign] MPC '37- '39 v0.4/MPC '40 v0.1
I had got to Abbeville with what felt like a half strength Panzer 1, an artillery unit with a bent gun barrel and infantry that made Dad's Army look professional. I was frustrated but enjoyed the challenges so I started again to see how I got on. I normally play on General, but this time I'm using Colonel with AI on 2 and 3 extra turns.
Having just finished Mokra yesterday, my observations are:
- The extra turns make previously impossible scenarios achievable but still quite tough even without extra core or experience. Adjusting the individual scenarios would of course be better than simply +3 turns everywhere, especially in conjunction with changes to core or experience limit.
- More than 1 or 2 extra core would help but would risk removing the challenge of trying to cope with fewer units than I'd like.
- Extra experience would help, but as with extra core units, might take away some of the challenge that (to me) gives these campaigns their distinctive character.
- There were a few cases where I got all but one of the DV requirements (and in two cases was one objective or unit short of DV) but I got a Loss rather than MV. Your planned change to increase availability of MVs sound good.
Keep up the good work.
Incidentally, I did OK in Mannerheim line first time round, but it was pretty stressful and could easily have ended up with my entire army destroyed.

I suppose that this campaign will be accessible to the less experienced among us
Anyway, difficulty can be increased when starting the campaign and depending on the feedback i might make things a bit harder if required. The new starter missions are intended to be easy.
Now a little update. I made some adjustments to Piotrkow Trybunalski and Wola Cyrusowa (and replayed to check), now i just need to replay the next two - Warsaw and Modlin.

Yesterday I had a few suggestions, but none of them should be repeated!nikivdd wrote:Don't know yet what to do with Mannerheim Line.
The details are too depressing to recount, so let's just say that it wasn't one of my best playing days, and I agree that a review would be welcome.

I love this mod, especially the Spanish Civil War missions. Have you ever thought of afullcampaign of the Spanish Civil war? Most of the unit icons are already available and its a pretty uncovered topic as far as Panzer Corps goes.

@ptje63
They only thing i can think of is a relative small core army against plenty of targets, so the rewards and heroes appear faster.
The files (awards, gamerules,...) have not been altered.
Secondly, it is possible that playing the campaign with another mod, do come with an altered awards, gamerules,... file.

Uhm.... well... seem to add another phenomena I dont understand...
At Hegra, not chosing the correct units to attack a forest, but...
The 105mm Arty with 3 range has just attacked my Sturmpanzer, busy crossing the river. The same Arty has also attacked the three hexes to the left when my units took that route.
But: its four hexes away so beyond range of arty, and: there is no Norway unit around to spot mine, on neither side of the river...
Invisible Norwegian heroes?
Does the Hegra Fortress itself perhaps have a wider range than is shown in its Unit Details?
