With such a flurry of battle results this week I'd thought that I'd highlight a few armies with their leaderboards (in no particular order):-

Republican Romans - not too many battles but 3 players share equal top score of 22 - flatsix, fedem & jonno

Carthaginians - again close with tiavals scoring good wins of 25 & 24 but flatsix & steveh8 both on his heels with 24 each

Swiss - early days but ferb (21) & newcomer blbrowning (20) leading an otherwise quiet pack

Welsh - most popular so far in terms of number of battles played (did I miss something with the rugby?). Four in the leading pack at the moment are tiavals (25,23,24), billmc (27), turk1964 (23), and stockwellpete (22,23,24). Although bill has the highest score of any battle in the tourney so far remember it's the best 3 scores which count so has he peaked too soon!

WotR Yorkist - early lead for stockwellpete (21) & another newcomer burinius (20)

Spartans - ferb clear leader so far (24,23)

Galatian - again early days but ferb (22) & grudge (20) ahead

The almost forgotten Crusaders - only 2 battles so far but tullius (19) & flatsix (22) ahead


With enough bitching & bribery we finally also have enough players to start the Gallic and the Early Acne Persian games.

Finally welcome to Aristides whose battles are posted on the results table (other thread).

I have lost, have I? And I wasn't even looking! Too busy wittering on here about the Welsh, I'm afraid. Very well played, Sharkall. You sure you haven't played this before? Once you had got the edge in missile troops I was desperately hoping for nightfall because my army was just too slow to evade you.

I won the early skirmishing/manoevering but then tried to lure him off a hill with anarchy but no joy.
