Hey Morbio, with patch 1.5 up today (and likly is a must install to access multiplayer) will the terrain picks for The Cup be obsolete? Dont know if the new map selction is "required" or an option....
I guess it doesnt matter since all the picks are in and if no otion for the old way , nothing we can do about it anyhow :D

The new map selection isn't optional as far as I know but you still pick what terrain density you want. The winner just then chooses from four maps that result from the two player's terrain density choices rather than just getting one result. So terrain density selection is still relevant. Winning initiative will just be a bit more beneficial now.

Yup, as Chris has said, the captains must still select the appropriate terrain for their match and now initiative is more important.... something for the generals and captains to think about!

Slightly off topic.... in a humourous sort of way...

If Davouthojo is Alexander then the rest of the team are the Diadochi. Who is whom I wonder? Will they start killing each other in a grab for power?

Hmmm....

Greetings Team Alexander(DH, PB, IDS, CHE and CLAY), are you done with your captain pics yet? No need to sweat it too much , for as everyone knows, team Ceasar is "much weaker than the Brits", so no matter who you chose for each battle, 5-0 should be a piece of cake , no?

We accept your offer of surrender, no? Look you guys lost to Ireland ... that great traditional cricketing country! Given that, I think I would chuck in the towel too

No, for we use a highly secret method of picking player captains: Archimedian diadectical logic, an abicus, and the alignment of certain planetoids.

Also we highly value team feedback such as "me like pikes"

Sorry for the delay , will pm ya tonite Morbio

BTW, is there any concern about the Cartho lists or Mid repubs that would warrent a wait for a pacth?
The Romans appear to have been stripped of almost all their ally choices......

Thanks for the promise of the team, it'll be good to get both matches on the go at more or less the same time.

Regarding the patch: I don't mind because it's the same for both sides. I leave it to those playing the affected matches to use their judgement... although if the patch isn't issued soon then we may have to review the position if people want to want.
