uh Rock... crack cocaine?? I guess we can pick up some for you in our military ventures, The Senate does disaprove however....

    Errr, not quite!

Copied from Wikipedia...
Rock is a type of hard stick-shaped boiled sugar confectionery most usually flavoured with peppermint or spearmint. It is commonly sold at tourist (usually seaside) resorts in the UK (like Brighton or Blackpool); in Ireland in seaside towns such as Bray and Strandhill; in Denmark in towns such as Løkken and Ebeltoft; and in Sydney and Tasmania, Australia.
It usually takes the form of a cylindrical stick ("a stick of rock"), normally 0.5 inches (1.3 cm) to 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter and 8 inches (20 cm) to 10 inches (25 cm) long. Blackpool rock is usually at least an inch in diameter, and can be as thick as six inches across and up to six feet long when made for special retail displays. These cylinders usually have a pattern embedded throughout the length, which is often the name of the resort where the rock is sold, so that the name can be read on both ends of the stick (reversed at one end) and remains legible even after pieces are bitten off. Rock is also manufactured as a promotional item, for example with a company name running through it.

In summary, it's a cheap and tacky souvenir sweet (candy) you buy someone as a gift on return from a tourist visit.

Google "Stick of Rock" and you'll see what it looks like.

Ha ha, didnt realize Rock Candy was , I guess for lack of a better term, indiginious to Britain! We have it over here as well in candy shops, places near the beaches etc... The form i remember it taking as a kid was it was basically formed around a string, basically white, semi translucant.... I dont recall particularly liking it even then!

So pick me up stick of rock basically is way of saying "grab me a souvineer"

The Lost World is a campaign setting for 3e Dungeons and Dragons. It is still in its infancy as it is only now being realized. As the campaigns develop, the information here will be updated. Hopefully on a semi-regular basis. So you're probably wondering... Everyone has their own campaign on the web, what makes this one so special? Let me try to answer that. First off, it's a familiar world. It's our world. Earth. But far in the future after a great cataclysm that threw humanity back technologically. It also saw the appearance of many other races. Relics from "The Time Before" still survive and many still work. Secondly, I would hope to involve some people in the creation of this campaign world...........

Sorry gents but I've been off ill for several weeks now & I'm still some way off recovering. Also have had the PC crash so have been unable to restore it fully for ages.

Hope it's going OK but realistically it may be better if someone takes over as I could be out of action for many more weeks. LW is maintain on an excel spreadsheet & a word doc.

So any volunteers please PM me.

In the meantime if anyone needs an answer urgently to a PM please let me know. I have not been able to read all the posts I've been missing.

With my apologies
