Div A
Karvon Ancient British defeated carpenkm Palmyran 258-273 43 - 17.
Battle was joined on a slightly wooded plain with the armies separated by a stream. Looking from left to right, a small woods lay in our far corner, a small woods and village were in our left/center section, a large wood lay in our center/right section, and another large woods lay in our far right corner. Not far beyond our central woods, the stream bisected a large, rough area. The far right sector was clogged with a pair of marshes and three medium woods surrounding a large rough area. On our left, the stream bisected another medium rough area. Another medium rough area and small woods were in the far left corner,
We deployed three warbands and a chariot on our left in the village and nearby woods. On our right, we hid the remainder of our warbands in the woods, screened by lights along the edges. A couple of chariot divisions were hidden in and behind the woods on the left as well. Some of our light horse and light foot were hidden in the woods on our far right. A few token light horse were out on each flank as scouts.
The Palmyrans deployed a loose line of legionnaires in the center, anchored on the woods on their left. Behind them was a large block of massed bow. In the rear was a large reserve of cataphracts. A few light screened the line, and a few light horse were out on their right flank.
Our plan was to sortie on our right, using the central large rough area to mask our left. Our lights would scout ahead to clear the woods and marshes supported by our warbands and chariots. Our left wing, we'd hold in reserve to sortie out after the Palmyrans completed their expected wheel to face our flanking move on their left.
The Palmyrans rolled forward, and we sortied out on our right. The Palmyrans had some lights and mediums hidden in the woods and marshes on their left, and these we quickly engaged with our lights, supported by our chariots and warbands. After a brisk series of fights, most of these were swept aside, and our chariots and light horse pursued the survivors and worked around the woods securing the enemy left. We dropped off a couple of warbands in the central rough to act as a delaying force, while the rest rushed on to support our flanking chariots and lights.
The Palmyans pivoted left, as expected, to confront our flanking attempt. Several legionnaires and cataphracts slowly attempted to encircle and crush our blocking force, but were hampered by the rough ground. We threw in a couple of chariots, disrupting some of these, which slowed them further, but eventually, they ground down our warbands and saw them off, though one did eventually rally when safely beyond their reach.
We sortied out of hiding on our left, with dismal results. While we did distract a few units, a couple of the warbands fragmented when we dropped back a bit. One of these then got run down by Roman horse and promptly fled with the horse in hot pursuit. The others we managed to get turned around and safely away without further mishap.
The decisive action was our flanking chariots and lights. These saw off nearly all the opposing lights and mediums and got into the masssed bow. We destroyed enough of them to break the spirit of the remaining Palmyans, and victory was ours.

Missing score in Div A for this game :
Tyronec's Portugueses and Berbers allies win against Cherebuschka leading the Armenian (Cilicia) and its crusaders allies
Final score 61 - 38
Honestly it could have been worse seeing how I fumbled on the very first contact

Aetius (Egyptians) defeats hscic (Philistines) 40-14
The Philistines hit the Egyptian right hard, and started cracking it, but not before their right fell to a combination of arrows, infantry, and light chariots. GG!

Division D
Ironclad Macedonian 320-261 BC with Greek allies defeated Antivirt Rome 105-25 BC with Numidian allies, 66-59
A tough close fought battle which stretched across the map as cavalry and elephant movements led to a number of a separate actions and both sides were on 58 as the final turn began. The Romans were able to feed reinforcents into the remaining cavalry combat sufficient to finally overcome the resistance of an enemy light horse unit but were held by in check by Macedonian lancers. Meawhile the exhausting infantry struggle culminated with two legions continuing their fight against opposing pike formations but the critical presence of a recently returned elephant unit swung the battle decisively in Macedon's favour and Roman casualties forced both legions to break.
Thanks for a good and entertaining game.

Aetius (Egyptians) defeats IMC (Assyrians) 63-33
This was not an easy battle for the Egyptians, as the Assyrians had a decent amount of heavy chariots and perched a lot of their archers on a hill. Also having archers, the Egyptians moved up and softened up the Assyrian archers, while their better infantry attacked the hill. At the same time, some infantry and archers kept the heavy chariots at bay with the help of some rough ground. It took a while, but ultimately the hill fell and the Assyrians routed, but not before heavily damaging the Egyptians. GG!
