You should form your own digital league, with blackjack, and hookers.
On second thought, forget the league.

Division A

Ludendorf (Hannibal in Africa 202BC) beat Triarii (Jewish (64BC-6AD) with Roman (105BC-25BC) allies) 43-12%

Ludendorf (Hannibal in Africa 202BC) beat dkalenda (Pontic (110-85BC) 50-9%

Triarii gave me the initial impression that he was going to hang back on the hill and allow me to surround him, and he threw out his skirmishers and cavalry against my right wing. This lulled me into a false sense of security, as it appeared I was going to remove his skirmishers and cavalry and then be able to turn on the infantry on the hill. Whether this was planned or not, he very quickly and skillfully changed tack and charged his strongest infantry off the hill before I was ready to receive them, smashing through my front line and disordering my left. Unfortunately for him, I was able to finish off his cavalry, skirmishers and his left flank before he could capitalise on his own local victories.

dkalenda struggled with an appalling map and was dogged by foul luck all the way through the battle. A river ran through it that extended far towards his side, bottling up his heavy infantry army while my mediums were barely obstructed at all. Despite this, he succeeded in blocking most of my flanking attempts for a time, only to suffer multiple freak disruptions that made his position completely impossible to defend. I got the better of the skirmish admittedly, but it is hard for me to see what my opponent could have done differently given the map and the way the dice landed.

Division A

Schweetness101 – Carthaginian, Hannibal in Italy 216-203 BC with Samnite 355-272 BC allies defeats dkalenda - Pontic 110-85 BC 47:18

the game opened with both armies facing one another across a flat plain on the Carthaginian left (left side of below picture), but the Pontic forces immediately retreated their right from that plain, and pivoted 90 degrees to force the Carthaginians to attack up a shallow hill and into a forest (or wait around under fire from a huge mass of light archers). This also forced Carthage to expose their left to a 3 unit cavalry ambush flank in the woods of the top left of the below picture. That Cav flank was held off by 2 Carthaginian cav and some light foot for some time, but one Pontic lancer cav got through and managed to rear attack and break some samnite foot, but was then stuck in with veteran african spears, and was itself broken. The Carthaginian impact foot got some good rolls and double dropped some thureophoroi to get up on and take the hill. The Pontic cataphracts were also held off by veteran african spears on the left and an elephant on the right, but never quite broken.

harveylh - Thracian 680-461 BC with Greek 680-551 BC ally defeats nyczar - Assyrian 681-609 BC with Median 836-627 BC allies, 40-11.

Good game, much closer than the score indicates. A forced redeployment due to an unexpected ambush helped the Thracians greatly.

Division D

SLancaster (Lysimachid 320-281 BC with Seleucid 302-301 BC allies) defeated Najanaja (Roman 199-106 BC with Greek 227-146 BC allies) 71-55.

This was my last match of the season and it really went all the way. Najanaja thought his army would crumble in the middle but he hung on till the very last turn! I managed to rout two of his units on my last turn to just clinch the win. Even though I finished undefeated for the season I really had to fight for it and our division had some worthy opponents. Thanks to all for the games and let's see how the division ends!

Over and out.

Division D

Challenge1 - Roman 105-25 BC defeated Bluefin - Syracusan 280-211 BC 58 - 29

Absolutely horrible terrain with mountains reducing the actual battlefield to a frontage about a 1/3 of normal and then a stream running through the middle of the 2 armies.
The Romans crossed the stream first on their left but were stalled quite quickly heralding an general advance across the stream of the Syracusans. Depsite their left crumbling, the Roman legions were able to hold and then counter the advance.

Thank you for a difficult and challenging match!
